AMW Capture #879
San Francisco Bay Rapper Captured
A call made a difference. Last week an AMW viewer saw San Francisco Bay-area rapper Andre "MacMinister" Dow featured on the show and called the FBI with specific information on Dow's location.

Based on that tip, authorities went to an apartment building in San Francisco on March 2nd, 2006. The San Francisco police SWAT team, accompanied by FBI agents, surrounded the apartment. After an hour-and-a-half standoff, a woman inside the apartment opened the door and let the SWAT team in. Andre Dow was found hiding under a pile of clothes and was taken into custody.

Dow faces murder charges for the deaths of Kansas City rapper Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins and his friend Jearmaine "Cowboy" Atkins, in Las Vegas on May 23, 2005. Dow's friend Jason "Corleone" Mathis, who was also charged in relation to these murders, is already in custody and awaiting trial in Las Vegas.

Police believe Dow and Mathis killed Watkins and Atkins in retaliation for the killing of Vallejo rapper Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks in 2004.

Bay Area Rapper Mac Minister Apprehended By FBI
03.03.2006 3:29 PM EST

Fugitive was wanted in connection with the murders of two Kansas City, Missouri, rappers.Bay Area rapper Mac Minister, who has appeared on albums by West Coast artists including Snoop Dogg and JT the Bigga Figga, was apprehended by the FBI and San Francisco Police Thursday night, according to authorities. Minister (born Andre Dow) had been a fugitive from the law since November following indictments for the murders of Kansas City, Missouri, rap artists Anthony "Fat Tone" Watkins and Jermaine "Cowboy" Akins.

Watkins and Akins were found dead in Las Vegas in May. Police have theorized that Mac killed the two men in retaliation for the murder of Vallejo, California, rapper Andre "Mac Dre" Hicks, who was shot dead in Kansas City in November 2004. Dre, a convicted bank robber, turned his life around in the 1990s to devote himself to rap. He became the leader of the Bay Area's feel-good Thizz movement, which continues to grow.

On Thursday, the FBI received a tip that Mac Minister, who was profiled on "America's Most Wanted" in February, was hiding out in a San Francisco apartment. Federal authorities called in local police to help with his capture. A San Francisco S.W.A.T. team arrived on the scene around 6:30 p.m. After some resistance, Mac Minister was detained at approximately 7:30 p.m.

ya but they got him on tape at a casino or something so it's pretty much fact he was there. He wouldnt want to lie about something and then have it backfire on him because they got undisputeable evidence that he was there. But ya he shouldn't have even done the interview. AND LMAO @ DUDE HIDING UNDER A PILE OF CLOTHES FROM A SWAT TEAM!!! HAHAHA
