Yup, they're both dope. I like GENIE OF THE LAMP a little better (guess it's the "dark" sound), but DREGANOMICS is tight as well. These are probably the most consistent solo CDs MD's done since RAPPER GONE BAD in terms of production, lyrics, and overall sound. MD came w/ a good mix of street tales, party songs, chillin' and/or cruisin' tracks, and some cool features.

MD sounds like he's more "awake" w/ his vocals then he was the last few times out and the lyrics are both street and (more in the case of DREGANOMICS) party-oriented at the same time--not an easy combo to pull off. If he keeps making CDs as dope as and w/ the same spirit of fun that he did on these two, as a fan I'll definitely be satisfied. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Can't wait for something from the Cutthoat Commitee!

PEACE!

I need to get those myself, the last Mac Dre album I got recently was Thizzle Washington and it sucked to me so I sold it back to Music Trader and I havent heard Al Boo Boo yet though; the only Mac Dre solos I got in my collecton are Rapper gone bad and Mac Dre's The Name which is my favorite so far and I still need to get all his older stuff too...

"net back cap, throwback starter"

there are so many tight ass lines between the two albums...

any MD fan that doesn't own these albums is sleeping PERIOD

he deffinitly came back.his best shit since Rapper Gone Bad....

but on Dreganomics on the song "On The Run" it'd be tight if he spit with the style he spit on "Stupid Doo Doo Dumb" the song....i love "On The Run" but his flow is too calm for that beat.the hook goes swell tho....
