Yup, they're both dope. I like GENIE OF THE LAMP a little better (guess it's the "dark" sound), but DREGANOMICS is tight as well. These are probably the most consistent solo CDs MD's done since RAPPER GONE BAD in terms of production, lyrics, and overall sound. MD came w/ a good mix of street tales, party songs, chillin' and/or cruisin' tracks, and some cool features.
MD sounds like he's more "awake" w/ his vocals then he was the last few times out and the lyrics are both street and (more in the case of DREGANOMICS) party-oriented at the same time--not an easy combo to pull off. If he keeps making CDs as dope as and w/ the same spirit of fun that he did on these two, as a fan I'll definitely be satisfied. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Can't wait for something from the Cutthoat Commitee!
