Even though most of us know the story, this looks interesting & finally something real. As long as it doesn't turn into some promotional DVD where you have a bunch of people doing shameless plugs. If it stay's the way the trailer is (which I hope it does.) It's be the best documentary based on the late Mac Dre.
I also hope this project is done because people can cut a great trailer, but fail to make the film itself that interesting. And then lose focus & never finish the project.
Best of luck though & keep us posted because I sincerely would like to watch this.

People got to start living off their own legacy....Mac Dre was a great artist/entertainer but he's been gone since 2004.....There are so many other Bay Area artists still living that we could be focused on....I'd like to see an Andre Nickatina documentary, or a livewire records documentary maybe even a "Get Low" documentary....There are so many other stories out there is all I'm saying.....
A lot of people still fail to understand that filming a music video is one of the easiest things to do. That's why you see people coming out of the woodwork with them.
There is a huge difference when editing a full on documentary. You will find yourself going over a year in just editing it & still not be satisfied. It can reach a point where you might just trash the project, or put it aside for a long time before jumping back on it again & continue with it. This is why it's not good to cut a trailer and quickly put it up on youtube and start promoting it because you'll learn real quick that it's not as easy as it seems.
Just speaking from experience. I finished the documentary I filmed and I now look back & realize what people who had been there & done that were talking about. Props to anyone who finishes a huge project like a full on documentary. It's not an easy task. It takes dedication and lots of time. More than it does with recording music. This film industry is a complete different animal than the music biz. Props if you can do both.
