A scenario could be a 16 year old boy drives his friends to the store to get something to drink. He waits in the car as they rob the store. With a good lawyer he may beat the case, but his family has no money so he pleads to a lesser charge...thats 1 strike. at 17 he starts sellin dope (I know its wrong...) and gets caught..which in turn scare him not to sell dope, as he aint cut out for it, wasnt as easy as he thought...oops strike two....He straightens out his life and he is now 27 married...he comes home after work and someone broke in his house and is raping his wife...he chase the guy outside down the street and beats him into a comma with a bat.....well strike 3....Should he be stuck for life behind bars......I know the scenario is crazy...and people should not be doing shit to get them in the situation, but there are many stories like this....the law is not really lowering crime.

Why not? The point I was trying to get across is that African Americans come closer to any other race in America to the status of whites. Look on TV, in politics, everywhere. African Americans are a HIGHLY accepted group of people this day in age in America. Yet a lot African Americans like this Rev., complain and complain like the world is against them and not allowing them to succeed. We have come long ways, that's all I'm saying. Complaing is for the ghetto minded ones IMHO, just like the ghetto minded people in my race. That's why we both black and brown never move up, we continue to use our ghetto minded thoughts. "Fuck white people," "WPS," "pinches gabachos," "gringos," etc... Complaining and hating, instead of taking positive action to make a change for themselves. How about looking at ourselves, instead of focusing on how other races have affected us in the past.

I never said Asians, Arabs, and Latinos have it "harder," just saying blacks have an easier opportunity to come up considering there's so many successful black people in America. And I think it all has to do with blacks being here longer, being born into the English language and American culture. Aside from whites, blacks are the next most culturally accepted group of people in America. I NEVER see Asians, Arabs, Latinos on TV, politics, entertainment, etc.., the majority it's a white or black man. Blacks have stepped up SO MUCH, that's all I'm saying. Too many blacks have the mentally like the world is still against them, I think it's just an excuse to stay ghetto because it's easier to live ghetto rather than try and go out and get an education, look for better jobs,etc... i think you give a little too much credit to the status of black ppl in this country. sure you see some in politics and on tv or whatever but theyre still systematcially oppressed as shit. i hate to bring up such cliche examples but just look at katrina, prisons, community segregations. after that you still think blacks are alongside whites in status?
