– LaMont Jordan is 10 yards shy of the 434 yards he gained in nine games last season, but his back injury could be serious enough to take him out of action for awhile.

Following the game, Jordan was needed crutches to walk because his lower back would not support his weight. He lowered himself into a chair next to Justin Fargas in the locker room and winced all the way down. He declined comment.

ESPN's Chris Mortensen also reported Sunday morning that JaMarcus Russell is coming along quickly and could be starting by Thanksgiving. Culpepper had a nice day against the Dolphins, but his status as a starter appears to be very week to week.

Sounds hella bad for LaMont, I hope he'll be back for SD but it lookin bad. I don't think JaMarcus should start that early, Culpeppers a beast.

as much as I want to see JaMarcus in there, I'd rather them keep Dante in there if we got a greater chance of winning.....but thanksgiving is like 7 weeks away, so we'll see in the meantime......I just hope Kiffen isn't eagerly awaiting McCown to get healthy....

Sucks about Jordan, but at least Rhodes will be off suspension the next game

^seriously? after Dante's performance there should be no doubt in his mind.....I mean, I know it was against a horrible miami d, but still, 5 TDs?!?! no INTs?!?! and its a toss up? :ermm: I mean, I don't think McCown is a bad QB, I just think Dante is better....as well as his mobility is more like Russells, so the whole offense can get used to playing with that kind of qb and Russell will be able to just jump in when he's ready.....I do wish Moss was around for the former viking reunion as well as seeing Russell throw it to him hella fucking deep......but fuck moss's patsy ass now

^^ i dont think moss n culpepper had a good relationship....
Maybe not, but Moss is a BIG reason why Daunte was...well...Daunte.

And starting JR this year is a MISTAKE in my eyes. Let Daunte run the offense while JR SOAKS in game knowledge for a year. scary1 will tell about that!

I want to see JR too but we gotta keep Dante in there until we're eliminated from playoff contention if we are eliminated.

^Agreed 100%... Culpepper "might" end up leading us to the playoffs. We're in the hunt and with the way we're running the ball it looks like we're going to stay in the running...

JaMarcus Russell should start the next home game, fuck it lets see what the dude got.. we'll wins some games with him.
yeah, but who knows if those wins will come this year.....we have a chance of winning games with Dante, and since JR didn't even go thru preseason I really think he shouldn't get any PT this season unless absolutely necessary (i.e. Dante & McCown both get injured)

My bad but when the Broncos started Cutler last year I thought it was a HUGE mistake, all the so called "Experts" were saying start him but why start him when your 7-4? It made no sense. Jake Plummer always struggles the first half of the season, he did the eyar before and the Broncs made the AFC Championship. Personally if Plummer was kept in I think Broncos would have won one more game and made the playoffs.
