this wont stop the trade only delay it. they will probably throw a fat sack of money on his lap and tell him to shove it.

and portland fan kid, devin harris is weak as fuck. there is like 3-4 pg's in the draft that are just as good as Harris if not better.
Rose, Bayless and Collison. Out of them, Rose is the only one better and we wont be drafting within any impact pg's range. And Harris is pretty far from weak "kid."

3 years in the league what has harris accomplished? i know he kinda young still. but they traded him for j-kidd who everyone said is a leader, which means that harris is not.

Harris's career numbers this year are 14.4 ppg on 48%, 35% 3-pts, 2.3 rebounds, 5.3 assits, 2.4 turnovers, 1.4 steals.

to me he looks like an average pg on one of the better teams in the league. imagine his assists if he wasnt passing to dirk or howard.

they play jason terry over harris in the 4th quarter for a reason.

if you want harris thats great, but if you want to win a championship and your team looks like they will be contenders for as long as you have Oden then you defiently dont want Harris.

and he's about to turn 25 in 14 days, so how much of a ceiling does he have left?

This trade doesnt make any sense but if they were some how to get Stackhouse back it wont be so stupid of a trade but as of now it might not even happen.

Well Harris is not going to Portland anyway, but I'll humor you for the hell of it. Pau Gasol got traded for Kwame Brown. That doesn't mean Brown is as good as Gasol. Memphis pulled the trigger on that deal because they knew they weren't gonna get anywhere with the pieces they had in place. The propsed Kidd trade was along those same lines for Dallas. The reason the Mavs want Kidd over Harris is because their core is getting older and they want a vet pg to get them over the hump. Their championship window is closing on them and they needed to make a move to give themselves a chance before they have to just outright blow everything up.
Portland would want Harris because he is a very good defender at the pg position which is something you need in the West with the abundance of great pgs. Plus, he's a hell of an upgrade over Jarret Jack.

it's the best for both teams if u ask me. for the Mvas having Kidd gives them a better chance at winning a title shortly as appose to waiting for Harris to become a complete player. then for NJ u have someone who wont do shit with Kiss and Kidd made it clear he dpoesnt want to play there so they end up getting a PG for the futue who happens to be productive right now as well. just a good trade on both way kinda like the Marion and Shaq trade.

Lost solid back up players. Lost height. Gave up two draft picks.

Got Jason Kidd.

Hmm...no thanks. I like Kidd as much as anyone, but Dallas didn't improve thier chances at a title with this trade, if that's what they were aiming at.

I dunno how anyone can like Devean Harris. Dude epitomizes everything that's wrong with basketball. He is without a doubt the biggest flopper in the league, he whines and is soft on top of all that.

I take Kidd over Harris, the trade dont seem that bad for Dallas but I dont know about also giving up two first rounders along with all those players just for Kidd. Oh yeah George blocking the trade is the right thing to do for his postion but it is comedy, and then he goes 0 for 11 in shooting the same night he blocks the trade. Comedy.
