MMS will be available the 25th

3.1 has these changes to phone:

Recommendations for apps you might like based on apps you’ve already downloaded.

iTunes will automatically create mixes based on what’s already in your library.

Ability to Use iTunes on your computer to drag apps onto virtual Home screens, then sync them to your iPhone.

Ability to buy and Download Ringtones Wirelessly

Improved syncing for music, movies, TV shows, podcasts, and photos

iTunes U content organization

Redeem iTunes Gift Cards, codes, and certificates in the App Store

Display available iTunes account credits in the App Store and iTunes Store

Save video from Mail and MMS into Camera Roll

Option to “Save as new clip” when trimming a video on iPhone 3GS

Better iPhone 3G Wi-Fi performance when Bluetooth is turned on

Remotely lock iPhone with a passcode via MobileMe

Use Voice Control on iPhone 3GS with Bluetooth headsets

Paste phone numbers into the keypad

Option to use Home button to turn on accessibility features on iPhone 3GS

Warn when visiting fraudulent websites in Safari (anti-phishing)

Improved Exchange calendar syncing and invitation handling

Fixes issue that cause some app icons to display incorrectly

when you update it says there clear as day what the update includes. like dude said MMS will activate on the 25th, Friday.

i got the first generation iphone so the updates never really do shit for me,they're doing that so the people with jailbroken phones can lose all their shit thats why i buy my apps legit.

they dont do it to fuck up jailbreaks they add bug fixes and small features. this update let you save video clips as new files instead of overwriting them and a couple other things. the jailbreak developers usually always find a work around, it just takes a few weeks

oh ok thats what a homie at work told me,he was pissed cuz he paid $40 to get it jailbroken and 3 weeks later he updated to 3.1 and all his shit got erased and ended up payin another 40..

Ya it does uninstall the jailbroken software if you update the phone. But thats not why apple puts out the updates. Like dude said its to fix glitches and add new abilities to the phone. U need the 3.1 to do MMS on the 25th. So if you havent updated to 3.1 I would soon if you want MMS.

damn well the guy who jailbroke it for him must not have done a very good job of telling him. its a pretty impoartant well known fact to anyone who jailbreaks that once you update your software, all your jailbreak abilities go out the window. thats why you gotta wait until the new OS version gets cracked and then update it using the modified file.

you wont notice anything major if you update to 3.1 . Actually alot of people have been complaining that the battery drains faster with it.
