just postin this cuz i have to get this off my chest...i gotta do an intervention for my boy tomorrow. He been hittin free base for 6 weeks now. He got kicked out of his house, and would just free base, fuck this girl, snort oxycottin, and pass out, over and over again. He looks sick as fuck. I grew up with this kid, known him since 4th grade. What put it over the top was that he free based and went to a friends dads funeral and flipped out. Fuckin bums me out.

Violence is not the answer here. Get him into rehab. What is the cause of him doing drugs? You are a good friend for trying to help him, just dont give up hope for him no matter what.

people aren't gonna stop despite what anyone tells them or does to them. whooping his ass is just gonna make him hold a grudge and he still gonna get loaded and just not talk to you. trying to tell him that you're worried about him etc. isn't going to work either. he's going to be like "yea i feel you" "i'll try to stop" "i'm quitting tomorrow" and some more shit. but they'll just keep doing what they do then lie to you when they see you even if it's apparent that they're doing it. i'm speaking for experience only .. people aren't going to quit until they are ready to.

yeah, nobodys gonna save him...what his family and i guess, I, are giving him is the choice between rehab or just not living at home, and not being able to come home until he cleans himself up. I mean, dood is a full junkie. He used to snort every now and then, and now its been free base for say, 3 times a day for 6 weeks. We just want him to realize that he needs to be able to WANT to save himself...he can do what he wants, but no one wants to be a part of his bullshit if he doesnt want to help himself. so, like i said, its basically rehab or the streets for him.

I saw someone take the advice and almost OD.

Just point out to the dude how bad he fucked up, how he disrespected a funeral, and be prepared to walk on by when you see him panhandling on the street.

Drop him... if he dont give a fuck about his life then you shouldnt have to waste anymore friendship into it. If he ever comes around and gets his act together, then pick up where you left off. Trust me, Ive gone through this with a couple homies as well as family members.
