Dont get it fucked up thinking everything is all good in NY tho. Niggaz is complaining they not eating the way they were out there. When im out there and i talk to niggaz damn near all of em feel like NY is loosing right now.. I think the mixtape game and niggaz not being themselves in NY fucked up alot of shit.. plus NY niggaz HATE ON EACHOTHER HARD.... people hate on eachother everywhere but out there its like competition with everything everybody and they momma rap plus battlin really big there.

But the difference is NY started that shit and alot of powerfull industry people are from ny so ny hiphop will always be relevant.. T

true, there is hate there but people still support their artists. ny, just hates on the south a little bit cause they feel like its not lyrical. overall, i just wanna see this bay thing take some more positive steps

but them dudes that is complaining is mad they aint eating caviar. ny niggas is eating more than anyone in the country except houston. an unknown nigga right now could take a cd-r with a homemade cover and go stand on 125th street and make about 2-300 dollars a day in the same spot. a nigga that is really grinding and keep his mouth shut so they wont peep your lack of ny accent and you can get money. if you hit harlem queens and manhattan and grind like kiggas out here do, you would get paper and have a serious chance of signing a major money deal based on just that

DO the damn thing Cash. Good shit cuzzinuvmine. I agree with everything that has been said. Niggas need to make they way out to NY more and make our presence known. I went out last year and in one short ass trip met up with Kanye & his manager and hopped on a mixtape out in Brooklyn hosted by Mad Linx.
Only other thing I would say is for cats out here to step up they lyric/flow game real tuff. Yall right, its so much competition out there, them dudez eat-sleep&shit lyrics, flow, concepts, etc.
We cant settle for that elementary school rhymin shit...!

A trip anywhere outside the bay could always bring new business ideas, fans, and people down to help get your music to more people. Very good advice D Cash!!!!!!!

1. WAKE YOUR ASS UP!!!!!!

YOU WILL NEVER SURVIVE IN THIS GAME IF YOU WAKE UP AT 9AM..... KEEP IN MIND, WHEN YOU ARE HAVING A BOWL OF CEREAL AT 9AM IN THE BAY, ITS ALREADY NOON IN NEW YORK!!! LOL NIGGAS HAVE MADE MILLIONS BEFORE YOU EVEN PUT YOUR PANTS ON. SO IF YOU WANNA RUN WITH THE BIG DOGS AND DECISION MAKERS, GET IN THE HABIT OF WAKING UP ABOUT 6 OR 7 AM PACIFIC TIME......
I learned this shit via the Market...Due Diligence, Due Diligence, Due Diligence, Due Diligence!!

DIDNT TALK TO WAH TOO MUCH ABOUT IT BUT DEE FELT THAT HYPHY MUSIC IS FOR THE BAY. HIS QUOTE WAS "WHEN YOU MAKE MUSIC FOR A SPECIFIC GROUP OF PEOPLE, IT WONT SPREAD. YOU GOTTA LEARN HOW TO TRANSLATE YOUR HUSTLE TO MAKE OUTSIDERS RELATE TO IT".....

HONESTLY, IN NEW YORK NIGGAS HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT THE HYPHY MOVEMENT. NOT THAT THEY HATIN ON THE BAY, THAT SHIT JUST AINT REACHIN. I KNOW PEOPLE GONNA GET ON HERE AND SAY IM TRIPPIN, BUT IM HERE NOW!!! I BEEN TO YONKERS, BROOKLYN, MANHATTAN, QUEENS, HARLEM, THE BX, AND BEEN FUCKIN WITH INDUSTRY CATS AND REGULAR CATS TOO. INDUSTRY CATS KNOW A LITTLE FROM THE MTV SPECIALS AND STUFF, BUT THE AVERAGE JOE CANT NAME 3 RAPPERS FROM THE BAY BESIDES SHORT AND 40.
ITS LIKE GOING TO THE ZOO AND LOOKING AT ANIMALS TO THEM. ANIMALS AT THE ZOO ARE COOL TO LOOK AT, BUT NOBODY WANTS TO BRING A GIRAFFE HOME AND KEEP IT....FEEL ME?
this is the best advice i have heard here so far

you always hear if you can make it in new york you can make it anywhere. but when you actually go you see what they mean. the energy out there is unbelieveable. bay niggas got real hustle in them, so we fit in real well.

been hated on for saying the same exact thing you are....i cant tell you how true what you're saying is. when i came back to the bay, i was tryin to emphasize that the reason a lot of cats will only be bay artists is becuase they think locally, niggas care more about bein in the VIP at 17 and Loft 11 more than networkin with cats that will actually do something for their career. to make it in this business you need to think globally
