I don't give a fuck, and i'll say it: The new movement out of the Bay is hella gay.

I think for the most part this is a good thread with alot of real good replies to me personally its good we have a "movement" at all, But a the same token we got to be able to complete albums have soemthing for " The Hyphy Movement", make something for women(and That doesnt have to be sappy bitches like a hot beat and a catchy hook about sex, anything example lil Webbie)make something that niggas can ride too, make something with some substace where people gunna say damn that was deep. Get all the fans, make "HIP-HOP listeners respect you and make shit that street niggas can feel too, and like or not we like what bitches like, thats the reasons niggas do half of they shit they do for a BITCH! and dont nobody say not me! YOu Buy that car to pulla bitch, that jewlery to pull a bitch, etc.. So why not make that GOOD MUSIC to pull a bitch! (Quick Plug watch Big Rich album how different it is we are gunna shock alot of people!)
i hear you man, but ya know one persons garbage is another mans treasure

i don't make gangsta songs, but i get gangsters that come up to me all the time tellin me how they feel my music

i write love songs and gangsters tell me damn, that's how relationships really go

for real, teenage girls and club bitches are the last people i want to feel my songs...if that means i don't sell then cool, but before THE LOVE BELOW/SPEAKERBOX outkast never had any songs that was like that and they still got felt by everyone cus they made real music...cus on the real, my music aint' for club hoppers, and that's fine is someone elses is, but i'm just not one of em

i've made one on purpose club track, and it's not even a rap song

ionno i'm high and ramblin

but everyone just gotta do them

cus there's a place for everybody

i don't wanna watch nothin but comedies, but i also don't wanna watch nothin but drama's

so it's good that we have people making different kinds of music

i dont' care if someones album is all on one topic, if it's real it's real, if it moves me it moves me

i used to think, alright i need my club song, my street song, my love song etc etc

and that's why i think it was right to me, even though so many people in the industry have told me i shoulda dropped an album a long time ago

cus i don't wanna fuck it up, i'm tryin to leave a legacy

but i'm now at that point i can , and i got my head on straight and i'm ready to take over the world lol

I love it when these nimrods on the internet think they know you.

Young ass mufucka? Me? Nah man, I'm 29 years old doggy.

lmao @ you comparing making mixtapes on your old school cassette deck to downloading shit off of the internet. They DON'T play WHOLE ALBUMS ON THE RADIO unless it's a major major artist and the album is just coming out. Get your facts straight Marmaduke before you put your foot in your mouth.

You the one who was talkin about "downloading mob music" off the Internet... Nobody here was downloading albums in fucking '94-'95. Shit.
What kind of point was that even making anyway? What does that have to do with how weak some people feel the new movement is compared to the old? "I'll just guess at random that you didn't buy the albums and wasn't supportin... well then, if you don't support, you can't complain! Shut this thread down!" What the fuck flawed ass logic is this? If somebody says Bill Clinton was a better president than Bush Jr., do you walk up to him and say "I bet you didn't even vote back then, so you have no right to complain about politics now"?
Fuck I bought half the tapes that used to come out back then. But 99% of the new shit, I can't feel it. And when I talk about it, I get the same empty answers-hyphy shit is more appealing to the masses, rappers gotta go on the radio and get they money, that's how the bay a blow up... except it ain't working. Sales are low as hell and nobody outside the bay really feel that new movement. That's how I and a lot of people feel, we might as well say it.

All I can say, is in the clubs in Baltimore, that Hyphy shit gets played. Also, folks in the Balto Metropolitan area actually know who Mac Dre is, they know who the Frontline is. Folks out here are diggin that shit, and it's spreading. Personally, I like that mob shit a LOT more than that hyphy shit, but folks is really diggin that shit.

cuz within' the past 5 years its become the "new fad"..the bay was all over BET 10 years ago when the bay was actually tight.Within' the past 5years the bay has changed and its more of the younger cats that are swinging from their nuts.if i blamed the artists then i would be calling them stupid but the young crowd is all talking about thizzin' and poppin x and getting hyphy and that shit makes the bay look stupid and then you got all these asian and white folks throwing up the thizz sign which pretty much makes mac dre look bad.Once they start doing it then you know its played out!!!!!

see what you gotta understand is mac dre didnt make his music just for black folks. out in the bay we got hella races and he messed with everybody, so if the whites and asians are doin it, then hell yeah do that. you got that missouri/kansas attitude that i hate so much! its so segregated out here cuddie...and yall need to cut out that high ass murder rate yall got goin on out here. i do think they need to stop thizzin cuz its making them way too emotional. i remember when the bay was on, im 23 so i feel you, but this aint 10 years ago. i say make the hyphy shit so we can get in the door, then flood the market with the mobb shit. somebody has to take that hit for the team so the door can be opened.look at the successful artists out, yeah they do the wack azz radio shyt to get folks interested then when folks buy the album, they get the real stuff! and then the 2nd or 3rd single is the "hardcore" stuff. the audience will be more likely to accept the hard because they heard the clubby joint, feel me?

wmy take on this is yes..the bay is so diverse but when it comes the music cats out here have been brainwashed...to where if you not using the bay slang in your songs niggas is like this cat is weak..or show it no attention at all...that's wrong man...thaht's why on this forum alone you hadly hear anyone speaking on the hiero's at all...or zionI and a few others...really it's getting stuck in a phase that every artist ain't actually on....but I love the bay music but can the kmel let a new cat shine with another style..a different flow that still slap..
