Obviously, (and I'm not surprised) my point when waaaay over your head.
First off, I never said anything about "downloading Mob Music off the internet" - don't know where you got that from.
I got it from the first post you made in this fucking thread, on page 4. I'm quoting you:
"Most of you mufuckas doin all of this complainin is just mad because artists aren't makin the kind of music that you used to love to download off the internet ...
WillieTheWhiner: Man I loved it when I was able to download the style of music I like!
CoreyDaComplainer: Yeah .. I feel you mayn! Wish they went back to that Mobb Shit so I could enjoy it without paying for it."

I'll say it again, I love it when they think they know you on the internet... I was the biggest fan of the 90's bay stuff and I purchased all of it. You name it (especially if it's from Frisco) - I got it. That don't have nothin to do with my point here. Don't see why you brought that up.
Because you was sayin that the same people complaining probably didn't buy the albums and had no right to complain. I was telling you I did buy em. I never "thought I knew you on the internet" or implied you didn't like the 90's bay stuff or purchased it. Where you got THAT from?

This is how it works - Bay artists made their kind of music in the 90s. That style ran it's course and isn't done anymore. When the ability to download FULL ALBUMS off of the internet became common to most households, that had and continues to have an immediate impact on sales - can't deny this.
Ain't tryin to.

If B-Legit can't sell 10,000 in his first week, there's something wrong. It has nothing to do with the quality of the album because it's B-Legit. It's been a while since he dropped anything, he's a legend and cats should cop that shit on the strength .. .NOPE .. download. I saw mufuckas on this very board putting up threads talking about "Hit me on AIM if you want that B-Legit". I'll never for the life of me understand why that's tolerated around here ...
It has to do with it, but that's not all. Can't forget that B-Legit's new album ain't got the kind of exposure Hemp Museum had. I can guarantee there's a bunch of people who owned and liked that album who have no idea B-Legit has a new album out. I know folks in the south and all around who fucked with Hemp Museum, Celly Cel's Killa Kali, 4-Tay's Don't Fight The Feelin', Spice-1's first three-four albums, etc., who wonder where these cats are nowadays. They think they just quit rappin 9 years ago or something. That's a large part of why the sales are so low. No REAL exposure. Of course downloads hurt it, and I don't know why muh'fuckas have the nerve to share that shit on here, but that's not the majority. Most of those threads about the new B-Legit were full of "buy it and support, don't download it like a bitch" comments.
The problem with the rest of your whole argument is this: even if they do get a few songs on the radio, they don't really sell. They shit sounds commercial, but it don't do commercial numbers, and there's a reason for that-there's already enough of that shit out there. The market is saturated with it. Why would the hyphy sound blow up across the nation? It's not bringin anything crunk music isn't already bringin. And if the bay isn't supporting the bay as you claim, then it don't matter that this new shit is popular with youngstas in the bay. We don't force artists to do that type of music to feed they family and whatever else-it ain't really selling, they ain't really feeding they kids better. That's my point. The bay came with a lot of garbage music in the late 90's and early 00's, as the rap game took a dive. But now there's a chance to reinvent the movement, and instead of just taking what's hot right now and adding a little bay flavor to it, I feel it'd be better to take what the bay created in the 90's, update it to the current times and strive to blow up with it. That's what I'm saying.
Everybody got a right to disagree, and I'm not hatin on those who like it or calling it gay like the topic starter. But that's where I stand on this right now.
