after putting out an album, maybe focus on getting show money instead of just depending on record sales. even rappers with a lot of major label support are flopping these days (i.e. maino).

Take creative chances and be original. Worry about your block then your city then the bay then California then the west coast. After that then worry about the rest of the country. We have to WORK! Artist need to go to other cities in the west and not think that Myspace got it covered for them. The Internet has ruined the old school method of promo runs cuz everybody swear that their 300 Myspace friends in a city means they have 300 fans.

I agree with that... When you do start out though working your hood. Don't make music that just suites your hood. A lot of cats in the bay do that and I think thats what's holding them back. What goes on in your hood doesn't go on in every hood or in the suburbs. Make it for you and your people but make sure if you take it to Seattle or P.O they can feel it to

There's alot of great music that has dropped this year... muhfuckaz just been waitn on all these punk ass "prodigies" that just aint cuttin it.. Artist that aint contributing to the over look of the Bay.. we got camps like 3 Story, Live Wire, Official Bizness, Mob Figaz, PTB, along with others that set great examples and put in major work. While people wait on artists thats never gonna make that major move yall hoped for, the more prevalent candidates get over looked and unappreciated. You can turn on your tv and see which Bay Area artists is gonna continue to lead this up hill battle for the Bay Area ya diiig..
