No way is Rome better. The one area they dropped the ball last season was with Qarth. Besides, books are always better and there is so much detail and stories some stuff is naturally going to get cut out.

But I hear their breaking book 3 into two seasons which should be better.
Exactly. As much as I wanted an entire episode of Davos on his island thinking about his family and debating if he should kill himself, you have to be realistic and expect him to just get rescued without all the exposition.
I loved the quick reveal of Barristan The Bold too, with no Belwas there was no point in having him posing as Whitebeard for half the season. Also really enjoyed establishing Stannis & Mel and Tywin as the big heels.
My only real complaint was I felt like Jon meeting Tormund & Mance was a little flat compared to the book. Tormund (and Beric) should be everyone's favorite character by seasons end.

The book's version was a hell of alot better. I was a bit disappointed myself with that scene.

I was talmbout season 1/start of season 2. Can't give a proper opinion on the discrepancies from the book to show on this season yet.

Good episode. Margaery is smart, she's quickly figuring out what tickles king Jofferys pickle - sadism.

I was wondering if they would ever introduce Jojen Reed. A bit different from the book but basically same shit.

I find Arya's character as one of the best for some reason.

The Kingslayer vs Brienne was good too. Can't wait till Sunday.
