Yeah, I had a cheater box when they were first starting off and we used to watch it all the time... Shit was more vicious back in the day, no doubt..

But, fighting as a whole, people weren't as good at it back then... You would have Karate guys coming in throwing kicks and those dudes didn't have a chance in hell...

Royce also took advantage of the old rules... He would just pretty much keep the guy on the floor the whole fight, and there would be nothing the other guy could do.. The guy would just be on the floor for fifteen straight minutes.. You can't do that in UFC anymore...

Sakuraba made Royce quit in his corner after a long battle, he did not tap, he just didnt come out for the next round.

Thats one of the best mma matches ever! Sakaraba was in is prime then.

I'm not sure if time limits had anything to do with anything because Hughes finished him before the first round even ended, would've been pretty much the same way in the old UFC.

I agree. I am not a fan of Hughes at all.
The guy cuts weight like no tommorow to fight the smaller people. He should be at Middleweight (185). Hell, he walks around at 200 or more.

It's not just that, I think he is an over-rated champ. Charuto got robbed of the decision. Penn schooled him. GSP had him till he slipped into that bar, but he is going to murder him come September. Plus his personality stinks.

Diff. Silva lost to Vera (aka The Truth).
I dont think Vera will make it very far in the HW division (should be fighting at 205). Wait, I forgot this if the UFC's HW's. He can take the belt
