I'm not even dealing with that consumer bullshit. Such a fucking waste of money. Next year ther will be a PSP2 that's smaller, faster and cheaper. Then the year after that they'll have a PSP3 that's slimmer.

im waiting till the hype dies down....
same here..tho i got 1 already i just want a us version lol rumors are goin around the next gen psp's r gonnna have a built-in hard drive..

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Joystiq has a brand new rumor saying that Sony is planning a PSP with built-in 50GB hard drive.

The Joystiq team catched the rumor at the “Positioning for Profitability in the Video Game Economy” (serious topic) conference. A prototype of the HDD Sony PSP might be shown at the end of 2005. Availability of the Sony 50GB PSP would be in 2006. 50GB of writable storage in a PSP would be quite cool. Making the PSP a full blown power portable media jukebox and game console.
More details on Joystiq.

I agree that it's too expensive, and I wont be getting one until its $150 or less, but your argument can be said about *any* item within the general economy. Cars, computers, etc., theyre all obsolete within a few years (well, cars dont become 'obsolete' , but you get what im saying)

And some peeps are just hardcore video gamers (like me, cept im broke) that would definitely enjoy a PSP. :)

the question is how many of you will actually use it on the road/on the go or whatever? isn't that the whole point of it? somehow i cant picture too many of you sitting in the back of your parent's stationwagon playing your PSP....lol
