I laugh when people who act like they are in the music business in some capacity come on here, look for a specific type of feedback, and get mad when they don't get it. On some, 'you guys are the REAL problem' bullshit.

On some real shit, show me a conversation (about what the bay can do or what artists should do or why hasn't the bay blown up, etc...) that has taken place on this board that has changed anything... I mean, if you go into the archives, you'll find a few hundred thousand to choose from.

This isn't the place where those types of changes or decisions get made.

either way im very aware whats said on an internet forum doesnt have a direct affect on any changes in the bay music scene.only people with money and knowledge can do that. and no i didnt take your comment personell. it seemed to me you were addressing the young cat that started the thread. i just commented. i didnt want the siccness cavalry to join in and take things out of context like we are doing right now. but hey we could go back and forth forever. its all good. im just trying to educate cats with the little knowledge i feel i have. lets leave it that. no need for this nonsense.

PROMOTE!!!! all albums get weak ass promotion...... if there lucky they promote it here in the bay but no where else. Half of us on this site dont even know when an album comes out, and all the sudden someone sais this album is hot. then we go cop it. and people like 40 and short need to bring the next ones up to the forefront, we taught the south how to be independant and there runnin the game now. We can learn from them, they bring people up, and we definitely dont "share the spotlight". Our artists need to get real beats, and join together as one unit. We are not unified were seperate IMO.

I am a promoter, i take care of the youngsters i dont want no money from them as long as there hungry and make good music i got them. Just check with the rich tycoons, young murphs, city p's etc. All good music all hungry, and I Dont make them pay like some people its about network everybody can eat f**k jackin them. Props given to those who put intelligent posts in this thread; there is some truth up in here; one of the most worthwhile I remember on the siccness.

One problem is the "cutting off the nose to spite the face". There has been more than one time here on the network, but not limited to, I have seen two parties with potential to make some progress derailed by a third party due to jealousy. I guess you can boil it down to an artist about to have to get a job at UPS, and wants to make sure everyone around him/her does too.
