In my opinion, there can only be an alternitive when the primary decision can be morally and ethically defended. In this case, gang injuctions violate both, so there cant be an alternative to this decision (gang injuction) because it is irrational decision. Gang injuctions should never have even been on the menu in the first place. Clean the slate, start from square one, and think about this problem differently. They seriously need to start putting new people in charge of things like this, beauracrats know jack shit about the streets. Community leaders need to run for office, native of the area in question because they know the area and what it took to grow up in that area and the resources they used to be prosperous in it. Then you will see change. Start by forming a team of people to go around the neighborhood, spread the word, flyers, anything to catch the attention of low income minority families who often dont have time to think about community issues because they are often unaware of what their child is doing anyway. Offer incentives, anything to catch there attention and inform them about the dangers going on to them in the community as well as there children. Thats why so many minorities never make it to college, because its never stressed in the home compared to upper -middle class whites. We laugh at white people because of the way they raise there kids and the way they act and hold themselves, but these are the people who make it to the top. Sure there are outside variables affecting this like racism, stereotypes, and other shit like that but anything is possible. We need to stop selling ourselves short.
Also, picking up and jailing gangmembers will never work, they will go to jail, and join prison gangs which facilitate everything that goes on in the street anyway. Take a look at what a gang member is, most are childhood neighborhood friends who watched each others backs from other people gunning for them. You gotta look at infrastructure when your dealing with complex social issues. Anyway, put me in office damn it ill change some shit around cuz some people are retarded. if u made it to this point thanks for reading hahaha.
