Actually they CANNOT search your car because you would have to give CONSENT (please study some court cases and constitutional law), but due to an officers DISCRETION and PROBABLE CAUSE they will ask you can they search, and do the search ANYWAY because something else is going on that allows them to do it WITH or WITHOUT your consent. So are you being pulled over because you're a latino male in your 20's? If so that is racial profiling and you need to bring it to someones attention. What you fail to realize is you have to fight these people with THEIR LAWS and THEIR TERMS. The same way they say stuff may be held against you is the same way you need to do them. How can you do this? Learn the laws, learn the policies and learn the system. After you do so, spread the information, get others involved and use their system to hold them accountable. Like me, I'm not doing any of this because I want to be a cop. I'm studying this because I liek to help people and because we have too many young african american and latino men that are coming into the system. Many of them don't have anyone fighting for them, so someoen has to take it upon themselves to help them out and show them the way. You can't fight them with weapons, and you can't fight them with fists. The way to fighting them is fighting them with their own laws and their own rules.
They see the MAJORITY of the public like this. You shouldn't feel left out.
I would pull you over just for that also if I were a cop. Stop going around that damn "thug appeal look" and have some dignity and class about yourself. A "THUG" is the LOWEST one can be (ask the homie EDJ about thugs), and again, if I'm a cop and I see you lookin a certain way I'm gonna roll on you. Is it right? Probably not. Will I find some way to justify it? Yes. Will the courts believe me over you? Yes. How would I justify it? I'd bring up years of experience and dealing with certain individuals (<--I often see that at teh suppression of evidence hearings.)
Listen, there are MANY ways a cop can pull you over, and I'm telling you right now, most of the public is oblivious to maybe 97% of the stuff they can be pulled over for. Again, there are ways inside of your vehicle, and I can gurantee in YOUR case they had justification for doing it.

The point is he is more credible than you'll ever be. He spent his time in the front seat of one. You spent most of your life in the back seat of one. Who are we to believe? However, he tells us to look at BOTH sides of the pictures (and this is what my community relations class is about.) Again, you don't know the man, and you haven't stepped foot in my class, so you don't know what the hell he is teaching us.
For what? On a local level it does some good, but not on a national level. I have no reason to vote. I'm not in the top 3-10% who controls the majority of this countries wealth. In addition, I do not believe RICH WHITE MEN (who run this country as if it were a BUSINESS) will allow minorities and non-rich whites to determine the leadership of the richest and most advanced country on the face of the earth.
