FRESNO, Calif.—Police won't say whether self defense might be a motive in the alleged killing of a gang member by a defense attorney's paralegal.
Fresno police said Tuesday that 50-year-old Brian Waldron led them to the grave of the alleged Bulldog gang member in the Sierra over the weekend. Attorney David Mugridge arranged for his employee to turn himself in.
According to police, Waldron was in his apartment when the man demanded a cigarette and a drink. The two argued and then fought. Waldron allegedly hit the man with a pipe, killing him, then dismembered his body in the bathtub.
Police say Waldron bagged the body parts, cleaned his apartment, drove to a remote area and dug a shallow grave.
Police said Waldron has been arrested previously for assault.
