I got a Razr that's locked to AT&T before they merged with cingular to make "the new AT&T" so my newer 3g sim card doesn't work in it :ermm:

I was searching online and everything was charging money to unlock it....I don't wanna pay to unlock this shit tho, anyone know of free sites or something like that coughcoughmark7coughcough :cheeky:

I hate calling cingular, they always put you on hold for hella long and half the time they can't help me.....I was trying to avoid that, that's why I was looking online first

so yeah....I'm still looking to get this phone unlocked.....I spent about 3 hours of my day talking to cingular about other shit and I really don't wanna try and get them to unlock it.....and besides, they wouldn't do it anyways, I've asked them before for another phone.

go to howardforums.com and look around.

join and post, those people are knowledgeable as fuck.

It will most likely take not only a "program", but a data cable, and a bit of phone/tech knowledge.

After reading, you'll probably figure that it's too difficult and either break that piggy bank or wait to see if Mark can get it done.

I would just go to one of those family owned cell phone places that unlock it for a small price. I think it's like $20. It's not worth the time and hassle unless you know you'll be unlocking a lotta phones (remember, the process is usually different for each model/brand). You could make $20 in a few hours of minimum wage, it's not that much.

its an AT&T phone I guess.....but this was right around the cingular switch....so now I got a cingular sim card and it doesn't work, it needs the prior AT&T one before they switched to cingular and then back to AT&T

yeah, I'm trying to avoid doing that.....I know I found a way to unlock my nokia 6820 online without paying, I'm just hoping I can do the same here

Just go into the store.

If you act nice, ask them their name and be cool, they give you free shit.

I got my number changed a few times,
which is like $40 a pop, for free, just for being nice.
