Got my first speeding ticket going 75mph on a 55mph zone. The trooper let me off at 70mph but that was some fucking bullshit. I was in between novato and san rafael. Novato is 65mph limit and he told me san rafael is 55mph limit due to the bridge. I didn't fucking know that nor did I see any speed signs. Plus there was construction blocking off one lane of a 2 lane freeway with diesel trucks parked and it was 11PM so I couldn't see shit. I was speeding so I could pass up another diesel right on the exit to 580 when the fucking cop pulls me over. The fucking bastard. What's gonna happen now? I now live in San Diego and I hear I'm suppose to go to San Rafael's court to get the get down on things. I don't plan on going to San Rafael at all, fuck that. What's my fine gonna be?

you will gop to court, they will see its a first offense, you will pay the fine ($100-maybe $200) you will get a point on ya records w DMV, go to traffic school to take care of that and prepare for your insurance to go up a notch or two...life a bitch but it aint that bad really man..its part of life

Yep. Lawyers get paid to know the loopholes, how to use them and when to use them. I remember trying to fight my own tickets before I got a lawyer, I’d sit there in court and I’d see a lawyer or two representing their clients, they’d say some technical shit (based on section 34C paragraph 7 of the Washington State Driving code, blah blah blah” basically talk for one minute, then the judge would say it’s dismissed. Every time, doesn’t matter how fast the guy was driving or whatever. That’s when I said fuck this, I need one of those!
I've never even met my lawyer in person, only talked to him on phone and sent him a couple faxes. He's represented my three times flawlessly; I never had to appear in court. I did shit, absolutely nothing but send him a check.

Fuck him. He most likely does not want to represent you, either that or he doesn’t want to actually work for you.
Pick up a phone book and look for lawyers who specifically deal with traffic violations. DO NOT TAKE answers like that. Hang up the phone and call the next lawyer. You have nothing to lose.
The way I found my lawyer was online. I did a search on google for WA State traffic lawyers and after a little digging I found one and called him. All he asked was what was the charge. I told him I was speeding 85 in a 60, he said, “No Problem, I’ll take care of it...Fax me your traffic ticket". (oh btw, don’t send that shit in just yet. Or if time is running out, check the box that says I DID NOT COMMIT THIS OFFENSE, copy both sides and then send it in. Do not admit guilt!
