Fedor wins 100% sure
this is one of the most for-sure wins in mma history
timmy has less then one percent chance
I don't get how people figure this. Fedor will more than likely win this fight but Tim can punch and he's not clueless ass Hong Man Choi. Fedor hasn't fought real heavyweight competition in a while and who knows how he'll be in the ring against a guy who knows what he's doing.

Sylvia might be extremely unpopular and I usually find myself rooting against him but he's proven over and over that he can fight.

i bet mroe people watch the PPVthen The UFC fight
I doubt that. Anything for free is better than paying for something. I bet half of the hardcore fans will more likely than not catch it on the net at anytime. I hope they do more than 100k ppv buys tho. Its a month away and I havent seen no commercial on tv like I do Rampage vs Griffin on almost every cable channel that I watch....

ill be At The Fight At THe Honda Center and i bet mroe people watch the PPVthen The UFC fight
heres some numbers from past fights

tuf on spike gets about a 1.2 rating on spike which is better than every ppv on this list.
so a free ufc event on spike would beat the ppv pretty easily.

Estimate North American PPV Numbers

- 1,050,000 – Chuck Liddell Vs Tito Ortiz (Took place in December of last year)

- 675,000 Chuck Liddell Vs Quinton Jackson

- 540,000 Tim Sylvia Vs Randy Couture

- 520,0010 Randy Couture Vs Gabriel Gonzaga

- 475,000 Chuck Liddell Vs Keith Jardine

- 425,000 Tito Ortiz Vs Rashad Evans

- 400,000 Anderson Silva Vs Travis Lutter

- 400,000 George St Pierre Vs Matt Serra

- 325,000 Anderson Silva Vs Rich Franklin

- 200,000 Rich Franklin Vs Yushin Okami

I don't think there PPV numbers will justify the salaries they are handing out.

But at least we'll get one really good PPV out of the whole thing.

Shitty that its in a ring though, which kills its ability to breakout through the mainstream even more.

i strongly disagree with that,iv never seen a glimpse of hope in sylvia,on the other hand,iv seen some amazing things from fedor time and time again

fedors only loss was a tko that the ref called 17 seconds into the fight when a punch missed and a elbow (which was agaisnt the rules at the time)split his eye

28-1 v.s.24-4

Really? The guy beat the shit out of Ricco when no one gave him a chance. He also beat Arlovski twice, Rothwell, Jeff Monson, Brandon Vera and several other good fighters. I've seen amazing things from Fedor also but he's also been put very close to the edge against guys who never should've had him there i.e. Hunt & Fujita.

HUNT'S A BEAST, DUDE HAS NEVER BEEN KNOCKED OUT AND IS A K-1 LEVEL STRIKER...HIS GROUND WORK ISNT PRETTY BUT IT ISNT THAT BAD EITHER...OK ARVLOVSKI, RICO,VERA AND MONSON ARE TOUGH GUYS...(NEVER SEEN TIMMY FIGHT ROTHWELL)
BUT SO IS BEATING NOGUIERA X2 (WHO CHOKED TIMMY OUT), CROCOP, SCHILT, COLEMAN, RANDLEMAN...SO FEDOR HAS A MUCH MORE IMPRESSIVE RESUME...

I'm not comparing their resumes. I'm saying that Sylvia has fought and beaten tough fighters. Hunt is a beast in K-1 and his ground sucks. The fact that he almost got Fedor in a kimura is laughable considering this is a dude who was easily tapped by Yoshida and Barnett. If he would've had Fedor in trouble on the feet that'd be a different story but he had side mount and was going for a kimura.

Like I said before I think Fedor is gonna win but people discounting Sylvia like he's fucking Hong Man Choi is crazy. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Fedor gets hurt from a hard right hand.

Im with Naner on this one. It was like when everyone thought Pride fighters would annihilate UFC fighters. I like Tim Sylvia, he might not be the peoples champ, but he does possess some tools that could be beneficial to a victory. He got size and he knows how to use it. I think not fighting in the cage will take away a huge advantage cause hes used to fighting on the cage to gain control. Dont make Fedor some Legend that cant be stopped. It all depends what kind of win bonus Tim will get if he could somehow pull out a win, and heres why I think fighters who will be getting a half mil off the bat. He could go in there and lose and be like fuck it, I got injured during training wheres my half a mil. Now if he wins, he'll most likely fight a few more fighters then go back to the UFC and make a killing cause he'd be the man that was known to take out Fedor. If that is to happen then Im sure Randy will go back to UFC to fight Tim at MSG. Im sure the odds are gonna be freakishly out there to make you not wanna pick Tim to win it....

To me, there are questions surrounding Pride's Heavyweight Division, after what happened to Cro Cop when he came to the UFC.. So, I'm not sure at all that Fedor will go in and dominate Sylvia.

Sylvia's a better fighter than Kongo and Gonzaga and they both dominated Cro Cop. Cro Cop gave Fedor a tough fight, so I think it could be a really tough fight for Fedor. Also Sylvia came really close to beating Big Nog, so its not like Sylvia's some washed up bum or anything.

I'd laugh so hard if Fedor lost this fight.

Fedor beat big Nog, who just beat tim sylvia, twice so you can't discredit all pride heavyweights. I don't think this will be as easy as some think cause Tim is a tough fighter even tho hes so boring to watch, but Fedor should pull out the victory.

This thread makes me miss Pride, I've always like Pride over the new school UFC. The Japanese people clapping and calling out fighters names when 2 jujitsu fighters are trying to gain the advantage rather than stupid ufc fans booing because they dont see a standup fight.

Fedor owns every homegrown ufc fighter!

Agreed. Fighters are fighters, doesn't matter what organization they or their opponent fights or used to fight for. It all falls on the two people in the ring that day, that's it.

The organization "beef" between fans was always extremely gay. Only watching one organization and hating on the other is simply liking a lightshow (or lack of) and not the actual fights.

ive never understood this either. why cant people enjoy both? both have/had great cards and fights and both have had shit fights.

this is the reason i cant read the sherdog forum eeither. every thread turns into ufc vs. pride somehow.
