funny was that both coaches were sent off.
Gomez has showed absolutely nothin in these groupstage matches...
Today he got goal scoring oppurtunity at very start, Klose passed, and what Gomez got the ball off goal, from 3 meter.
Germany´s forwards still not scored. They need to step up now, since Portugal won Czech, i can see that they beat Germany as well.

Im really disappointed in Germany so far. Portugal will be a tough one and we obviously are the underdogs in this game. Should be really interesting though, because we have beaten them before and still have a slight chance to beat them again

Maybe it would be better if we gave the game away to the Romanians but our team was filled with spare players and they want to score too. It's the European Cup and looks great on their resume (sp?)

the funny thing is in the italian news they wouldnt stop talking about the possibility if the dutch threw the match to throw out france and italy.but then many euro critics were sayin the only reason they were talkin about that is that if the italians were in the same position they would throw the game away(typical),only the italians would do some scum shit like that,even the game today,they won, fair and square ,but to have a goal in pk and another one of henry.
van basteen is one of the only coahces who after 2-0 he still replaces strikers,nobody does that shit,the dutch are all about momentum,thev said it before ,its not about takin a loss,they want to win every game possible period.its not about feelings,players dont think like that,they dont half ass play games.italy won,but there a bunch of stinky ass players,no other country plays for fouls more then italy.if you have a chance to score you take that chance instead of tryin to get a free kick or pk,and im not sayin that from being a french fan,i watched the game witha couple die hard italian fans,they do what ever it takes to win.
one big argument was if the ref wouldnt have called that foul how bad would toni(who missed about 18 shots on target)looked.its crummy futbol.
i jus bet my boy 3-1 odds that italy wont even make it to the final

It is what it is. You cannot really blame em for that. They don't play the most attractive football, but they sure play effective. Thats what made them win the World Cup in the first place. Thats how they beat Germany in the semis. Look how much "luck" they had against Australia. No one really expected them to get to the finals in 2006, but somehow they did, and sometimes you can work for your luck. All those "what if's" don't count anymore, i bet it would have been a totally different game, if Ribery didn't break his fibula, and Toni didn't get the foul, but it is what it is. Im by no means an Italy fan, but thats how they play. Teams who face them know about how they tend to fall and fake fouls. They have been playing like this for years and if opposing teams don't find a way to cope with that it is not Italy's fault. In the end all thats counts is that you make at least one more goal than your opponent, no matter how you manage to do that.
I do hope they beat Spain and then get their asses kicked by the Netherlands in the semis, though !

But then again.. we also have one score to settle with Portugal... but it's still a long way from the finals and now the Cup switched to a knock out system so every game has to be won. We might not be so lucky to win every game now..
I also don't like how Italy plays always try to get the free kick or penalty or go for the counter. But it's our advantage that van Basten played in Italy when he played fussball and the Italian coach never played in Holland.
