this is one thing iv never understood,why in the hell do people(not jus you,but sports commentators as well) bring up statistics decades ago ,"oh italy are known to be the best,they won like 4 world cups about 40 years ago"
another think is everybody is like if your team doesnt have players with experience (domestic/international)then you can count them out right now.and now look at portugal/france/italy etc.
you look at a team like russia with such a young group,there so hungry and attack attack attack
but seriously iv never understood why people bring up facts that have nothing to do with the future
its like looking at stocks,you look how they performed in the past,but that never shows how there going to perform in the future

If Germany can't beat a team like Turkey with so many injured players and only 12 who can actually play, a goalie as a substitute Striker, another goalie who is not even good enough to play in the 2th German devision, they don't deserve to get to the final. I say we're gonna beat Turkey 3-1.

Because for some reason facts from the past often mean a lot in the present in football
Several examples:
1. It is a tradition that England and Holland always lose when the game is decided by penalty kicks (with one exception for each team)
Not only that, club teams from these countries show the same trend
2. It is a tradition that Spain rarely passes the 1/4 final stage despite always having some of the best players on the planet (this year is an exception, as was 1964)
3. It is a tradition that the teams that play the best football in the groups rarely make it to the final (confirmed for yet another time this year with the Dutch)
and many others

agreed, turkey has no shot, aren't all those dudes missing starters too? in any case turkey looked like shit against croatia...that goal they scored to send it to pk's shouldn't have counted, but in any case im thinking germany will dismantle them, 3-1. I also agree that a Germany-Spain final would be very entertaining.
