imo if the consoles (ps3 & 360) were the same price then it would be a different story. The pricing is the reason for the rankings. if the ps3 was as cheap as an xbox I would've gotten that instead simply because I was so used to the ps2 and I think alot of people are like that. I've also heard of alot of people buying wii's and they just sit there, but I think it's more of personal preference once you own more than one console, one is bound to get more play than the other.
pricing is pretty much the same. 80 GB PS3 is $400, so is the 120 GB 360. IMO, if you were going to get a 360, its kind of a waste to get the $300 one. but then again i hate microsoft and i think buying a 360 at all is a waste.

I think one major plus for the ps3 that never gets mentioned is ive never had a problem with a used game, the blueray format makes all the difference in the world.

I love my PS3 and use it daily for many things BESIDES gaming. Its like a computer system hooked up to my TV. I watch movies on it, stream movies, and even play music at times. My 360 pretty much collects dust.
all those things can be done on the 360.......i do all those things and plus......the blu-ray was the biggest selling point to those that i know that bought a ps3.......

But you bought a gaming system to watch movies!?!? Doesn't that sound kind of funny or am I the only one laughing. Either way we can all be monday morning quarterbacks, but the sales do not lie. Even with a crazy failure rate, people are still buying the 360. That has to tell you something.

I stream, play movies from usb, play music, stream music all to my tv with a wireless router. (tversity.com)......

xbox 360's online interface shits on ps3...so much easier to talk to friends, invite them to games, and just interact.

the only thing ps3 has that 360 doesnt is blue ray...and im pretty sure you can stream blue ray quality to the xbox....(not for sure yet cuz i havent bother to download a Blue ray movie becuz most are 2-4 gb..).

so until you let me know somethin that for sure can do somethin my 360 cant...im coo.

but the xbox being louder is a weak cop out...turn your tv up lmao...i never notice it. That is gettin way too anal.

I hate the back R2 and L2 button...are them things spring loaded enough to launch your finger into space? Those things are way to springy and annoying. Should have kept the ps2 way.

Blu Ray discs can scratch just as easily as DVD's...
lol, this is simply not true. While the blue ray disc is not unscratchable, drop a blue ray disc on the ground, leave it there for a couple weeks, pick it up, turn it over, blow the dust off and tell me how scratched it is. Do the same thing to a DVD and compare. DVDs get scratched hella easy, just breathe on them and magically a scratch appears. Not true with blue ray.

hella people eat McDonalds everyday doesn't mean they sell top quality beef.

Listen, the whole xbox vs ps3 debate is played the fuck out. At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. You like ps3, cool, play it. You like xbox, cool keep sending Micro$oft your money.

Who did?

Doesn't that sound kind of funny or am I the only one laughing.
Pretty sure you are the only one laughing. However, i think some of us are laughing at your poor reading comprehension.

Either way we can all be Monday morning quarterbacks, but the sales do not lie.
What does that even mean?

Even with a crazy failure rate, people are still buying the 360. That has to tell you something.
They buy it because its A) cheaper and B) it has more games, due to it comin out substantially SOONER than the PS3 did. Not to mention, the online play is better. However, i don't play online so i don't give two fat ass fucks about that.

I stream, play movies from usb, play music, stream music all to my tv with a wireless router. (tversity.com)......
I do the same thing with my Ps3...however, my PS3 has BUILT IN wireless, whereas you have to BUY a wireless adapter for the 360 that A) is pricey and B) flat otu SUCKS ass.

xbox 360's online interface shits on ps3...so much easier to talk to friends, invite them to games, and just interact.
It also cost more money.

the only thing ps3 has that 360 doesnt is blue ray...and im pretty sure you can stream blue ray quality to the xbox....(not for sure yet cuz i havent bother to download a Blue ray movie becuz most are 2-4 gb..).
Of course you can stream, however I like to OWN my DVD's and Blu-Rays for the highest possible quality of movie watching, so the Blu-Ray was fit for me.

so until you let me know something that for sure can do something my 360 cant...im coo.
For everything you mentioned, the cost is about the same, or maybe even CHEAPER than the PS3.

Ill tell you one thing the PS3 can do the XBOX cant...have a high failure rate.

but the xbox being louder is a weak cop out...turn your tv up lmao...i never notice it. That is gettin way too anal.
How is that a cop out? Its ANNOYING and I have neighbors. Im sorry, but i have respect for the people around me and im not gonna blast my fuckin TV at midnight.

I hate the back R2 and L2 button...are them things spring loaded enough to launch your finger into space? Those things are way to springy and annoying. Should have kept the ps2 way.
LOL @ springy...and yore saying this in contrast to the 360 controller which is 245093580938th times springier? And you're saying my complaint about the 360 being loud is a "cop out"? Color black, meet kettle.

LOL @ this turning into a flame war. I like my PS3...why are people trying to change my mind? You don't like it...great...keep it movin.

If anything, we are comparing video game systems with blu-ray players built in to video game systems that don't.

mine has never been loud enough to have to turn up the tv...so i wouldnt know about that. Plus when you can afford your own house...you dont really have to worry about neighbors lmao.

You have to push hella far down on the r2 or l2...it just feels unnatural.

Xbox 360 has the best controller by far, and im a playstation fan.

im not trying to change your mind...i own both i could care less wut you think or what you do. I was just tryin to prove that some of your points was invalid and in turn you proved some of my points was invalid. Thus the beauty of conversation.

lmao!!! QFT!

I say its personal preference...i had a ps3 first, then I bought into all the talk about 360 being better so I bought one. after playing with it for about a month, its now a dvd and blue ray stand, dust collector.
