Embarrassing defeat for PS3

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! i got my ps3 as a gift though but sony does need to drop its price. as for getting it cause of blu-ray, aren't the movies expensive as fuck? how often do you watch movies and need it always to be HD? dvds seem fine to me or just play the media file instead. the blu-ray aspect just doesn't seem to be enough.
blu ray movies are like 5-10 bucks more than regular dvd movies.
my ps3 is hella quieter than my boyfriends 360.
what lures people to buy the 360 is the price. you pay $200 for the cheapest one right? $199 is the sweet spot..do your research folks. if the ps3 was that price then people wouldnt think twice to buy it over the 360. but then 360 needs hella add ons that the ps3 already has included...which in turn jacks up the total overall cost.
wireless adapter roughly $90
xbox live one year..gold..what..roughly $50 PER YEAR?..so multiply that by the amount of years you keep your system.
not to mention the people who bought the now obsolete hd-dvd drive...?

idk bout that what, what lures people to buy a 360 is the quality games it gots....what helped it also was how it came out a year before the ps3 which made it have a more stable fanbase.... wireless adapter? not needed..as a matter of fact i dont know anyone who has one...yeah xbl aint free but 8 bucks a month aint bad.....and besides that online gaming on xbl cannot be beat , thats where all the real gamers are at
LOL @ the 360 being quiet as hell. Mine ain't quiet at ALL. The fan used to cool the system is like a fuckin airplane. And i have the holiday bundle Elite. Maybe the BRAND new ones with the new boards are quiet, but mine aint.
I don't want to have wires all over the house for some internet, that's retarded. I have MULTIPLE consoles in my home and laptops, so i NEED wireless to be efficient (this is what happens when you work from home sometimes). I'm sure many people feel the same way. Besides, limiting your options is the main bug here.

For someone who works/ed at Gamepro, you should know better than to use this argument.
The Wireless adapter is optional, you do not need it to use the 360. Xbox Live Year cards can be found quite easily for $30. The HD Drive is also optional. You do not need it to use the 360.
Furthermore, Xbox Live Gold itself is optional. Silver is free, and gives you access to almost all of what Gold offers.
And don't waste your time trying to compare PSN to Xbox Live. PSN doesn't offer even a third of what Xbox Live offers content wise.
These optional items do not bump the cost of the actual system up in any way.
