IT's funny cuz what's gunna happen is there is a breed of unheard artists that'sgunna get the deals becuase everything right now is a set up for the next big artists..the unheard artists who ain't even really on the radio now. Yes the majors may come down here and start signin cats becuase of they record spins n independent career so far...but on the other hand they will be finding those other artists who haven't been heard yet or givien that chance just becuase they don't sound like the normal bay artists. The industry wants everybody to blend in somehow...not saying for cats to all sound the same but at the same time bring something to the table to where cats can relate and also take them to a new place they haven't been before. Feel me
YEAH I Called times herald this morning and told them that theyre putin false info. in the paper....and that they spelled droop-e's name wrong ....dude said oh ok ill get that to the editor.......fuckin idiots and they spelled gold (goal) in the olympic article....wow theyre real good wit shit down there
It's funny because I remember checkin on this board 2 years ago and people would get all pumped because Cellski had a 5 second spot in a Lil Flip video, same with E-40 in the Lil Scrappy video, or they would play some bay song in the background of a lame ass dating show on MTV and people would get super pumped like the bay really was going places because of those things. It's just funny to think that we would get all giddy over some shit that meant nothing, and now it's really falling into place like it should be.
THIS is what I have been waiting for. E-40's song in heavy rotation on the radio and getting decent time on TV, a fuckin special on the whole Bay Area showing not just E-40 but people like Quinn who aren't as well known outside the bay as they should be. The timing on this shit is beautiful.
And to the guy that called the newspaper asking them to fix it, good shit man. Instead of just bitchin on BART, he picked up the phone and did something.
