it's not bombing at the box office? Still I don't care if he makes more money or not. It's a retarded ass movie which makes him retarded for thinking it would be a good film. I read the reviews man, they are terrible. I'm sure some nascar people or straight morons eat that shit up though
I dont know..is it?

The point is, he more than likely got paid more for doing the boxing movie...thats the point. I would suspect that more than a few actors in Hollywood couldn't care less whether they are in "good" movies or not. Its all about the payday. You're making the assumption that all actors care about being great actors in award winning films. That isn't necessarily the case.

Would you have watched Drive had Jackman been the lead as opposed to Gosling? Maybe him NOT being there is a win-win for everyone, no?

I understand what you're saying. If he's just trying to make a quick buck or whatever then sure I understand. But if he's looking at his career in the long run, to me it seems smarter to take on the better roles/scripts/etc., as it pays off later.

Would I have watched it? Probably. I thought he was really good in The Prestige. If he took on more serious roles, I'd take him more seriously as an actor.

I think the point is he simply doesn't want to do really serious roles. He's fine with hanging in the balance between character actor and familiar face.

He usually opts for middle-ground films that can be accessed by most audience demographics.

Regarding the baddass jacket:

Ryan had been really inspired by these 1950s Korean souvenir jackets,” Benach told Grantland. “He had bought one on his own and was wearing it around. … So we built it piece by piece. We knew the collar had to be able to pop up, we wanted the knit around the wrists and waist to be 100 percent wool as opposed to stretchy nylon. We wanted every element to be perfect. We went through 15 or 20 iterations until we got it right. Which was down to the wire — about an hour before shooting!”

Benach also revealed that when all was said and done, there were 13 versions of the fashion piece made for the star during filming. And, fans of the jacket may not have to wait very long to own their own version.

“You just might be able to find them online soon,” teased Benach.
