I luv Seattle...its alot safer than most major cities...and i do agree with you...gentrafication(sp?) is running rampant ALL OVER the NW...ask anyone who stays around NE Portland...Nonstop was talkin about it not too long ago...

Highpoint and Holly Park have BOTH had Major makeovers....they went from burnt up projects....to reasonable living aprtments...all in a years time....when you see potted flowers in the hood...you KNOW somethin aint right...

And they are tryin to do it to the Central...slowly but surely...i think the residents of the CD need to stand up and FIGHT....cus they are gettin pushed out to areas like Fed Way,Everett and Kent....

Make no mistake about it..Seattle is a beautiful city....alotta people come here and fall in love with it....great places to eat...great scenary...mild weather....

But just like every other major city..we have crime...drugs,prostituion(Aurora is the place to be!) and gangs...we got it all...

I luv and hate this city at the same time...ive been here 26 of my 28 years here on earth...and theres no place like Seattle/Portland...no where..except maybe Vancouver BC...but im talking US....

Anyone wanna come up to Seattle...come fuck with me...ill show you good food and hot whores....

i found vancouver BC to be 100x times better than Portland. Seattle's a cool place to party tho. Portland was dead as fuck at night.

Man, I just gotta throw in that I been to damn near every corner of the USA & seen a shitload of hoods....but there aint NO ghetto like outside the country.

I was in Mexico this past week, & saw some of the worst poverty, & shitty living conditions ever.

...some of these buildings, made of old brick & mortar, were falling apart, with no roofs, & dirt floors, with a tarp as a roof, & had 20 people living in it.

My homie is in the Marines in Iraq right now, and when he was on a short leave out here, he showed me pictures that showed TRUE ghetto. Streets thats ran with rivers of shit in the gutters, 20 people per room in a 2 bedroom shanty.....some fucked up shit.

Seattle is like every other Major City I'm guessing its got its good and its bad. They Say San Jo is the safest big city in america but its got parts where you gotta watch out too. Its like that almost everywhere you go besides sheltered wealthy community towns like Atherton and Hillsbourough. Whats funny is when you are driving around you can pinpoint to a Tee when you ain't in Atherton no more and you are in one of the more nasty parts of Redwood City. It goes from multi million dollar mansions and thick beautiful trees to corner liquor stores day workers and bums on the street in the blink on an eye
