Did anyone watch the 2 hour UFO special on ABC Tonite?

I don't believe in'em,but 2 years ago I was up in the Cascade Mts. in Washington,and there was an orange light that was small,and it was just moving around in a manner to where I knew it was'nt a plane or helicopter,or whatever.It was just one light goin right,left,up,back...no specific pattern.Sattelite?I dunno.

This is truly an intriguing piece of film. It is unfortunate that the clarity isn't very good using the quicktime viewer. However, in regards to a comment on the "phoniness" of the jet contrail of smoke; if anything, this is the feature that makes the video most credible. It is NOT an exhaust plume, nor are the contrails seen in our skies behind recognizeable aircraft exhaust plumes. These are condensation streams resulting from warmer water vapour in colder air pockets/altitudes cooling rapidly via contact with a colder surface, ie. an aircraft's outer shell. Anyhow, if this video proves to be credible...it will be very important for UFO researchers.
P.S. The jet noise it makes when passing by the helicopter at highspeed is associative of a sonic boom, ie. the noise the air makes rushing in to fill the empty airspace behind which a quickly moving object leaves.
allright folks time for a little bit of science. is there life in the universe outside of earth? chances are: yes. although this obviously depends on ones definition of life (the metobolic and reproductive mechanisms might be very differnt fropm those of earths life) there is, based on the number of planets out there (and perhaps a planet isnt even required) theres a damn good chance that somwhere in the universe theres something that uses the surrounding resources to make a copy if itself, which i consider the broafdest definition of life. but intelligent life is another matter entirely. theres is no reason why any sort of organism should necesarily evolve towords intelligence, infact we have copious examples of evolution which doesnt lead towords intelligence (we can argue about what intelligence is all day but im using the defintion which everyone has implied so far, human like cognitive abilities). evolution is not a goal directed process and no more leads to intellegence than it leads to opposable thumbs or the oilfactory acuity of sharks or the indpeandantly mobile eyes of chameleons. and since its not likely that the envirenment (and what confers a fitness benifit and is an evolutionarily stable attribute is conpletly based on the environmental context) is imilar on other plantes its unlikely that there would be any evolutionary drive towords intelligence. i mean shit there isnt much on earth. theres a grip of species out ther that have done better, in terms of longevity, whcih is for most purposes the best meadsure, than us without 'intelligence'.
