yeah, alot ppl thought it would happen this year...the word was the have the weakest team they have had in a long time...i was just hoping it would last until the played pitt since we were the last to beat them it would of been tight to beat them again to end the streak....glad to hear the lost though, was tired of hearing about them, even though the article in sports illustrated not too long ago was a pretty good read...so was this team they played supposed to be good or what?

the streak was primed to end this year...
DLS has no star studded skill players like they have had in years past...

they still have to play Clovis West (which is a state power) and Mission Viejo (who is #4 in the nation)..Also state ranked Palma... people think they'll lose 2-4 games this season....

it's a trip because Bellevue could've played DLS last season but opted not to because:

" the timing had to be right. De La Salle had a 2002 trip to Hawaii in the works, and Bellevue, projecting a young team the following year, wanted no part of the Spartans in 2003."

DLS ' last loss was to Pittsburg in the 1991 Title game.... the streak began in 1992 with a 34-14 win over Merced... and stretched 12 years and 151 games... smashing the old record of 72 straight.... during the streak DLS beat nationally ranked squads such as Long Beach Poly, Mater Dei, Clovis West, St. Louis Hawaii, Evangel Christian (Louisiana) ...before the 1991 loss to Pittsburg DLS was on a 34 game win streak... so in their last 187 games they're 185-2........

i remember at the beginning of last football season i posted up saying i wish that parkview high from GA (who at the time was three years undefeated) would get to play DLS and people shitted on me saying that NOBODY would be DLS and they had proven it over and over and yadda yadda

glad to see they lost....well actually, i really don't care! ha

Bellevue crushed them. Not one pass, not one punt.By the way,Bellevue has a 14 year old quarterback. Also,Bellevue is a public school that is 3A,the numbers are'nt muffled like an all boys private school that claims 3A.

Yup Bellevue happened to have some talent this season.. they could've played DLS last year when DLS was truly loaded... however they opted not to... and wanted to take the game this season... when it was expected that DLS would be down on talent.. the DLS coaches knew that this year's team wouldn't be loaded and took the game anyways.

They're the best 3A program in the state of Washington, there might be a 4A school or two that are better but probably not. It's an Eastern suburb of Seattle right across the lake. They aren't known for being strong in any other glory sports, they just do football. Their star is a running back who's dad grew up in Seattle and played DB for the KC Chiefs (James Hasty).
