It was better than I thought it would be, more than a few songs I liked on that cd.

yea....a really hard sounding bass sound accompanied by some high pitched west coast whistle sound....that sums up 90% of crooked's beats.
Dont get me wrong, it sounds tight sometimes, but not back to back to back on cds

Im not really feelin DRF but the North Polez comp was descent, but have to agree the tightest songs were not DRF members.
They need to work on the album covers. I like the old covers as they took 1 picture when it was raw as fuck.
The beats are startin to sound like background music for movies, its jus sounds.

But ya the quality of their CDs havent been so great as of late -_-

hope these next two releases wont dissapoint

Edit: Connectionz was trashy havent listened to it lately

Conecta Del Norte was pretty decent

abe legen of the record house has been mixing and mastering their cd's.
he does a great job at engineering & puts out good quality music.
abe has worked on albums by san quinn, goldtoes , lil coner and thizz artist.

does that explain how the mixer doesn't know how to lay off the compressor? The vocals on the newer cds make them sound like stalkers.
