Who says? Teams can fire who they want @ anytime regardless on how many years the player/coach has left with the franchise...... D'Antoni doesn't see eye 2 eye with Steve Kerr nor the owner, so who knows as of YET!

^^^Yea, they can fire him, but they still have to pay his remaining salary in addition to the salary of the new coach they hire to replace him. PHX is a penny pinching as franchise. They traded Kurt Thomas to SEA for a huge money saving trade exception, sold their last two picks to Portland for cash straight up (one of which is currently in the running for MVP of the euro league). They also threw in James Jones for a trade exception. This is not an ownership that is just gonna throw money away like that. Mike aint goin nowhere until his contract is up.

^^^saved em a contract extension for Marion though.
Extending Marion's contract would have been a better choice than Shaq's cuz it messed up their run-n-gun formula and Shaq is older with problems plaguing him, but then again Marion wanted 2 bounce anyways...... I believe if Marion would have been there in a Suns uni MAYBE the outcome of the Spurs vs. Suns would have been different!

From an outsider's (non PHX fan) perspective, I personally think its time to blow it up. Get rid of everybody not named Amare and rebuild around him. that sounds weird to say about a team thats been 50+ in the win column for the last five years, but they're not gonna go anywhere with that roster the way it is now.

thats bullshit...
the suns lost bc they play on defense an on topof that they traded for shaq who no matter his legacy is doneand only slowed themdown...

and the mavs...instead of firing the coach...they shoulda sent the whole team to boot camp to toughen them the fuckup...they made it to the finals but theyve always been soft and as long as dirk is shooting 3sover fools insteaf of dunking over them w authority, theyll go nowhere.

I agree.. but Nash still has some miles left. Bell and Barbosa need to stay too.

I dont believe the problem lies with D'Antoni. But it is worth pointing out the trade made halfway through the season wasn't a big help... yet. Who knows, maybe next year they'll be more jelled as a team and not have the same problems. You have to wonder if they've really adjusted since Shaq has come over.

You're right the problem isnt D'Antoni. Its the Spurs
