This shit is crazy on Tuesday morning at about 9:25am during my first class of the semester my environmental science teacher made a claim that turned out true.

He said knowing the earth and how it works is very important. He then said "I'm not a betting type of person because this university doesnt pay me enough but I would say it is a safe bet basically 100% that before our semester ends in May there will be a massive earthquake somewhere in the world that will kill thousands of people. the only problem is trying to predict when it will occur."

Hours later the quake in Haiti happened. thats fucking crazy.

So you going to Afghanistan KingSix? Hope everything turns out well for you over there. My Uncle went to Afghanistan back in 07-08...he was a 11B in the 173rd Airborne Brigade outa Vicenza...crazy shit...matter fact...the 173rd is just now going back.

Yeah I'm set to go there. I would love to be stationed in Vicenza but I doubt I ever will...one of the hardest army posts to get stationed at. 11B is pretty hardcore. A few of the guys in my unit are former 11B and they don't mess around. Thanks for the support.

Vicenza is a pretty cool post..i went there while my stepdad was stationed in Germany at Vilseck. Its pretty close to Venice..took like a lil day trip over there from Vicenza. Its a crowded ass post though, people all over the fucking place on there...never seen such a crowded PX in my life, lol. Yeh i hope to go in as an 11B after this semester...hopefully with the Ranger Option...but thats not guaranteed...we shall see.

You got a military family? I'm the first in mine to join. Rangers are badasses. My first sergeant is a former airborne ranger. Good luck with that, hope you succeed.

Yeah bro...if everything goes according to plan i'll be the 3rd generation of my family to be an Army Infantrymen...Grandpa in Nam, Stepdad did two Iraq tours, Uncle on the other side did one in Iraq and one in Afghanistan....i guess its my turn, lol.

Yeah my stepdad was in 3/75 at Benning in the early 90s. He told me if im gonna go Infantry i might as well try and make it into the Ranger Regiment. Told me Infantry OSUT would most likely get me to where i need to be to make it passed RIP...he said it really gets hard when ur actually in Battalion though, lol.

That's awesome man. Got big shoes to fill lol. Do you gotta go to airborne school before RIP? I was never really interested in airborne...I like air assault more. I might go there one summer.

Yeh you have to get through Infantry OSUT then Airborne School and then you goto RIP where they weed people out than you get assigned to one of the 3 Ranger Batts..3rd at Ft Benning, 2nd at Ft Lewis, 1st at Hunter Army Airfield..which is by Savannah. After a certain amount of time usually after a deployment i guess....not sure..they send you to Ranger School to get tabbed. To have a leadership position in the Regiment you have to be tabbed. I think if you fail Ranger school they kick you out of Regiment, lol.

Air Assault looks bad ass too..thats at Ft Campbell i believe where the 101st at.
