Damn I hate cops just as much as the next man, and I never met an American cop that I liked. But I like to keep shit in perspective, and I gotta say that compared to the cops in my home country, the cops here in the US are fuckin sweethearts. you wouldnt even believe the type of corruption that goes on in most third world country police forces, those fuckers kill at will. here you'll most likely get away with a good beating.

anyway, good luck fightin that case askG, seriously.

o yeah, after dudes had me cuffed, the one passenger cop tells me"oure lucky you didnt get your head blown off" referring to when he stuck out his gun while we were both moving...real nice job huh.

also....no police markings on the car, one dude was dressed like those sears mechanic, the other looked like your typical asian tourist from SF.
Yeah these types of things are going to happen when you scrape up against the law. You think you got it bad shit prison is full of people like mac dre that werent even involved but just werent saying shit so they got broke off and did a bid. Federal cases stack even higher if you are successfully pushing something and the feds have to get involved because you are way too sneaky for the metro to catch up with you. I dont like pigs and I dont sympathize or emathize with their existance or even give a fuck if they live or die (generally speaking not individually) but when it comes down to it I talk with respect to C.O.'S because it makes my life easier. Besides I already knows their punks so why do I have to prove it. If you cant change the situation accept it.

i would have done the same shit in your situation askG, but when the cops pulled you over you shouldnt have said a fucken word, remind shut, no chit chat, no nothing, the only things you are obligated to say is your name and address... the only person that should do the talking for you should be a lawyer. You'll have a better chance of winning. remember "Anything you do say may be used against you in a court of law"

unlike other countries, we have rights, but nobody konws about them. let us know what you do next

Lockyer: CA Courts Must Follow State Over Federal Law

Advocates Demand Wider Broadcasting of Opinion

SACRAMENTO – In light of a recent statement by California Attorney General Bill Lockyer, medical marijuana advocates are calling on him to issue a formal legal opinion requested by numerous public officials over the years. Americans for Safe Access, a medical marijuana advocacy group, is asking Lockyer to answer the latest overdue request “to clarify the scope of permissible conduct of California officials,” made by Assemblymember Mervyn Dymally (D-CA) in June 2004 in regards to medical marijuana.

Some legal clarification was provided on April 6, 2005, when Lockyer stated that, “both generally and in the specific context of interpreting the Compassionate Use Act -- it is not the province of state courts to enforce federal laws.” Lockyer made this statement in a brief to an appeal on a “return of property” case, where a patient had his medical marijuana illegally seized. The lower court's ruling stated that the patient's conduct was "illegal under federal law."

(See page 8, http://safeaccessnow.org/downloads/... response.pdf)

A number of elected officials, law enforcement, and district attorneys have expressed a need for clarification about their responsibilities in the case of state/federal conflict in medical marijuana law. As reported in the April 25, 2005 Ventura County Star, Chief Deputy District Attorney Jeff Bennett said, “The law is clear for what is permitted for people who need this material at the county level. I think the confusion is at the state level, where they need to clarify [whether] dispensing and possessing, and using marijuana is still a violation of federal law.” Lake Forest Councilman Richard Dixon said last Tuesday, “For me, it's black and white: Federal law trumps state law.”

Medical marijuana advocates say the councilman is mistaken. “Lockyer must state by light of day that it is the sworn constitutional duty of local and state officials to uphold and enforce state and not federal law wherein the two conflict,” said Steph Sherer, director of the medical marijuana rights' group Americans for Safe Access.

The Attorney General filed an amicus brief in Raich v. Ashcroft, dated April 29, 2003, where he states that the federal Controlled Substances Act interferes with a state's constitutional right to care for the safety and welfare of its people. Until this legal footnote, however, he had not clarified that state courts, and therefore state law enforcement, are not to enforce federal laws. (See http://raich-v-ashcroft.com/lockyeralamoakamici.pdf)

“The failure to provide clarification by the top law enforcement agent in the state, the Attorney General, allows for the perpetuation of a 'culture of resistance' by state officials to enforcing California’s eight year old medical marijuana law,” said Kris Hermes, legal director of Americans for Safe Access. "So-called confusion around the state/federal conflict has resulted in hundreds of unlawful patient arrests and medicine seizures around California."

good cop: One who protects and serves and enforces the "spirit" of the law and not the "word" of the law. The cop who will leave the local potheads too their self brain cell mutilation too go bust the car thieves up the street.

bad cop: One who abuses his authority too get what he wants out of innocent people. The officer who pulls over somebody looking for the next "big bust".

Ive only came across 1 or 2 good cops in my day.. the rest are alll fuckin pigz.. a homie of mine was cuffed and being asked questions when another cop looked too see if anyone else was looking and gave him a cut to the jaw.. fuckin cowards..
