i used to have DSL a few years ago now ive got cable,i dont notice much of a difference.im just happy with shit thats faster than dial up.

on the real though fuck DSL/Cable i want oneve them t1 servers

Yeah instead of 1.5mb its 3 mb now. Idk if comcast is 3mb everywhere but it should be in major areas at no extra charge. (my mom) pays the bill its like $50. I should be moving out soon so I hope that $19.99 for 6 months is still around when I move.

damn damn damn, i go wit cable, even tho my shits been sorry for the past 2 years, i guess i gotta take up that 100 a month fee to make my shiat faster. I had DSL and i liked the download speeds but to browse the internet like every junkie it was boo boo!. I do like cable and bein a sucker payin 90+ a month (digital cable/premium channels included) wit all the taxes n fees i guess it helps me find properties 15 seconds faster than bein on dsl. and yes like the pimp said up above read the fine print it only last for 6mos. A word to the wise, Download at your own risk!!!!!

I got DSL & I don't have a problem with speeds for downloading or surfin web pages. My sister's boyfriend has Cable and I swear I feel like I'm on dial up compared to how fast mine usually is. They say Comcast is supposed to be faster but having been on both of em i think I would pass that cable up because It sure as hell didn't feel like it.

The Register reports that SBC has begun planning a massive network upgrade which will push fiber connections deeper into subdivisions and neighborhoods than before, resulting in incredibly fast DSL speeds for home users. Their current estimate for down/up speeds are 15-25mb/s down and 1-3mb/s up (mega_bits_, not bytes).

Cable is alot faster, especially if there aren't that many people around you that have it. Because for cable, they'll toss a grip of people in your area on the same network, and you pretty much share the bandwidth. Most people in my neighborhood don't own, or have probably ever even used a computer. So my cable is blazing. For browsing DSL's ok, but unless I'm downloading tons of free shit off the net a month, I don't feel that I'm getting my money's worth. And I accomplish that a lot easier on cable.

i got the fastest cable in the nation. my comp is like 2 years old, but you'd never know cause everything online is so fast. It's kinda expensive, but unless you have a fast computer you'll be just fine with dsl, but if you don't, i'd recommend cable, but again, it depends what you do with your comp. If you play games online like unreal tournament or some shit, cable is by far the better choice, if not, you're pretty much throwing away money on cable unless you dl songs all day

I pay about 49/month, but I fucking hate comcast. I want a better provider to give me better speeds(both upload/download), since I do alot of file sharing. 400 KB/s down and 32KB/s Up, just aint cuttin it no more. I want some T1 or some OC-1 lines. OC-1 is like 51.85 mbps(bits) or 6636.8 KB/s(bytes) downloads.

I was just looking on the net, and I seen some shit about OC-255. I guess its like 13.21 Gbps(bits) or 1,731,461.12 KB/s(Bytes) download speeds. Now that is fuckin insane.

Edit:

I saw some prices for an OC-15 line...Got damn... $100,000/month.. LMAO at my idea of wanting OC-255.. I gotta be fuckin Michael Jackson with that kinda cash.
