The first AWOL comp was "classic". That mob figgaz album wasn't bumpin' like that. It wasn't for everybody. Maybe this new one is going to be tight since they've grown and matured as artist.

TONYS FULL OF BOLOGNA
I like Salami homie... get it right. See that's the problem with people these days... If you don't like something that everyone else likes, there's something wrong with you. No, it's something wrong with y'all. I hate Bologna because it taste like raw uncooked hot dogs. And I didn't like the first Mob Figgaz album because the production/beats were weak and the lyrics/topics were played out. I was expecting something new, that's why I was disappointed. Like Mac Dre said "The title sounded good but the shhhh was phoney"!

Now you can take that personally or you can take it as constructive criticism which should fuel you to come tighter on the next one!

I like the Mob Figaz first album, brings back memories.

This new one though, it hasn't even been started right?

That's the problem that I find disappointing. Had there been "Props" there would be numerous ones given and this is just talk of an album and everybody is just day dreaming (so far.) Perhaps it's not such a bad idea that Props are gone, now that I look at it from this angle.

I think this topic should have been brought up once the album was sent to be mastered & on to being pressed.

This is just talk as of now and anything can happen between now and a completion of an album, or even the start of an album for that matter. Too many of you think it's just walking into a studio and it will happen, or just because somebody said they're gonna do an album it happens. That's just not the case, Folkz! Too many artist make plans and lose interest. It sounds good at first and the dreaming stage begins and for most... that's about as far as it goes. The next stage is, making a cover with no songs or less than a handful of songs recorded. Sad but true IMHO.

Today is, May 26, 2011 and I honestly am not expecting to see this album any time soon. Maybe a song or two in the midst of the recordings (if that,) but as for a full album, I just don't see this happening.

I hate to be a pessimist in this thread, but I'm a realist.

Please save the dramatic reply and prove me wrong by completing this album and releasing it before this year is out, or early 2012 (Jan - April) at the latest.

Not at all. I guess I rub off like that around here LOL!

How many covers have we've seen or how many albums have we heard are in the making, or better yet! ADVERTISED on the inside of the latest Cd only to never see light of day?

Now, am I wrong?

he's not knockin it, he is lookin at it from a rappers standpoint vs a fan. Its pretty difficult to get a group of 5 together to knock out an album, do promo, etc.
And maybe golden mean frank or ap can chime in, but what happened to the album that was finished back in 05-06? Will that ever be released in some form?
Whenever this drops I'm lookin forward to it. Rob lo, dj fresh, and maki is all the producers u need imo.

yeah i been said that. it's my opinion that rappers shouldn't unveil plans for shit or ask opinions of fans for a given project.

just bust it out, finance production and distro and drop it on the fans. i don't think any type of business should do that shit, it dilutes your brand and demand. you're supposed to be a fly ass rapper that knows what fans want from you, just go in the booth and do it and announce it when you have something to sell.

What a lot of people dont understand is we start projects and work all the time.whether they get released or not depends on how the business deals go down.intentions are always good but getting everyone to move without money is never easy.i am sitting on at least 5 yrs of good music but without a deal or some kind of investment money it makes no sense to release it and waste a project.i promote,im not here to sell wolf ticcets.i would sell music independendently 4 $10 an album if siccness members really need it.if people were supporting and not dl'ing i would release an album of some kind every month.thats my word but i guess we'll never know.(lol smileyface)

Rasan, Thank you! I'm glad to see that there are some people in here who comprehend what's written. Keeping an open mind is not the easiest thing for a lot of people. I view it as somebody starts a thread and a lot of people follow like sheep, but don't realize, or are afraid to state their true opinion / views on the subject.

I meant no negativity what so ever and it's clear to see that you understood exactly where I was coming from without labeling me the "hater."

I don't fall for too many things without giving it a good thorough thought on what it is that's happening. One person say's, "Hey! I'm gonna record an album with so and so..." and everybody goes on stating how tight it will be etc. and I'm seriously sitting here thinking, "For real guy's? Seriously, not one track has been laid yet!"

Again, I don't mean to sound negative, but how many times have we seen this on the Siccness? I have yet to see anything finished from any artist in here stating they're about to collab on a project. No follow up no nothing. The talk sounds good, but until it's in front of me I will remain a doubting Thomas. Especially with rap projects.

I advertized the documentary film I made years ago talking about, "Early 2008!" and then "2010" and I found myself not being able to finish that project, so I removed it from youtube. When the next advertisement came out with a set date, the film was done 2 months prior to it's release. Same with the soundtrack for the film. It was actually done and maybe it didn't come out on time, but it was off by a few months, not years. I learned an important lesson.

I think that any artist / CEO/ manager / label etc. should keep things under wraps until it's official. Once the album is done, let the cat out of the bag and let it be known it's coming within the next 2 months or so. Any other way it becomes a project that only went as far as having a nice cover and not one song recorded for it. Never to see light of day, but have "COMING SOON" under it for the next 5 to 6 years.
