I don't think people hate Barry Bonds just to hate him. I would have respect for him and the record IF he did it legitimately, but he's on steroids and there is absolutely no doubt about that. How do you go from a 185 pound line-drive hitter to a 245 pound mass of solid muscle without steroids?

Nobody said anything because homeruns put people in the seats. But believe me, if steroids could make pitchers throw a baseball over 100 mph, they definitely would have done something about steroid use because people come to see homeruns, not pitching duels.

So basically, I say fuck Barry Bonds because he cheated by using steroids. And fuck Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and anybody else that has cheated by using steroids.

And yes, had Griffey stayed healthy, he would have easily been the HR king right now...he missed 300-400 games due to his injuries and still manages to be near 600 HR at the age of 37.

Don't you think that the reason Griffey had all of those injuries may be because of possible steroid use? Steroids are known to deteriorate the muscles around where you inject it, and a common place to inject is in your legs, which are the injuries he has had every year in his hamstrings. I mean, most of the time, he would literally do nothing and tear a hamstring just running to first base. But who knows.

Its absolutely possible. But since baseball didn't have an effective system in place to test players for steroid use, we'll never really know who was using and who wasn't. The what ifs will always be there...

uh yeah i mean dont you know that fucking steroids heal your body super fast, thats why you can build muscle so fucking fast, wouldnt it be more obvious if he i dont know healed amazingly quick and came back with 40 more pounds of muscle? griffey never did that, griffey grinded out each of his injuries and is still grinding it out every game. griffey also sadly declined. barry back at like age 34 35 where generally any professional baseball player on the planet gradually declines comes out in '98 '99 whatever with 40 more pounds of solid muscle hitting numbers that decimate any of his prime seasons. then gets all these small nuisance injuries like bone chips in the elbow which are painfully obvious side effects from steroids. having a previously injured leg reinjured is common in real life period, especially when you play with the passion and intensity that griffey does.
