Its no secret all the crazy shit Death Row has been thruogh and all of the crazy press it has gotten from all the law suits against them, supposedly starting out from the money funded by a drug kingpen, the death of Pac, Snoops murder trial and a host of other shit I don't have to name.

Now what about a label like Black Market who was linked to controversy right out the gate with the situation with X-Raided, the lyrical content of Brotha Lynch, all the law suits filed on them behind the entire X-Raided shit, Sicx first solo was distro thru BMR not to mention Mr. Doc also going away for murder before beng branded a snitch.

Now both labels have crazy stories and Death Row has gotten a bulk of the attention due to being a big time label but The Row has been called the most controversal label when in actuality BMR has a story that could easily rival the story of Death Row IMHO

Just the whole issue about Death Row being started by drug money and getting to a point where they were be considered organized crime and how most of the affiliates were known gang members I would say Death Row. Of course the Row had Snoop's Murder Trial, Pac's untimely death and a plethora of other small negative press and situations linked to it as well.

bc no one outside the west really heard of black market honestly. I know they bought Lynch albums but many didnt pay attention to the bmr label. Deathrow made a impact and was a trendsetter movement bmr really wasnt.

BMR had some shit. I dont know all of it, but just some of the stories and what not. Were they screwing some of the artists too? Gangsta Dre mentioned it, but that's all I know.

Deathrow was hella controversial. Especially with the Koast to Koast beefs and with the Deaths of Pac and BIG. But that feud is what made it too the light. Then Vanilla Ice's story, then all the katz saying people was getting slapped and beat up.

if black market records was as famous as death row, it'd probably be black market. i mean, their three headline rappers are a cannible, a child molester, and someone who records albums from prison!!!

No offense but some of u do make good points but a few of u don't know what the fuck the definition of controversy is....Mothafuckas coming up wit some dumb answers.....Although a few of u have made very good points we're not talking about popularity here....And I don't think alot of people know alot of the shit that went down with BMR.....I've been checking them out for many years and alot of the shit that went down with the label, artist and affiliates can rival the controversy at Death Row.

fill me in. BMR still around right? I mean Jay Ru from Compton was suppose to have an album out thru them.

But like you said, I dont think alot of people, myself included, know about the other controversies that were surrounding BMR... but I'm all ears.
