redskin is a racial slur bottom line.....nobody would like to be called "blackskin" or "brownskin"...shit just sounds outta pocket. like somebody said, change the name to warriors and keep the same logo, problem solved.

I know many natives who aren't particularly offended by the Redskins name/logo. What's offensive is that for some people the only way they are acknowledged is in a trivial way and the fact that there are people(Dan Snyder ie.) making boatloads of money profiting off of the imagery/mockery(war chants) and so on. Personally I find the Cleveland Indians way more offensive, the name....the logo,etc. In a way though it does honor the fact that Cleveland was a native stronghold at 1 point in time so that's still cool I guess. There's no pleasing everyone. Atlanta Braves tomahawk chop is pretty pathetic.....I'd like 2 go into that stadium and start scalping those rednecks if given the chance.
