first blacks here dont know shit about where they came from. we dont know shit about africa. so just because u do some research, or u take some classes or watch a documentary dont mean u know a damn thing about the past. IM 100% WEST AFRICAN, AND I KNOW MY ORAL HISTORY DATING BACK MORE THEN 500 YEARS!!!!!so i can lace any wanna yall on the why blacks act the reason way they do, and its a very complicated thesis. But some of u dumb fucks like MIGUEL over here probably would not except it, because your brain is warped with too much bull shit, and you have no reason. Some of the youngstaz in LA that looked up to the panthers (Raymond Washington, Tookie Williams), found all their role models dead or in prison in a matter of months... out the seemingly hopless situation they emerged as the Crips.... Isn't it ironic that one of the largest Crip sets is named Hoover?
Freeway Ricky Ross, the first major crack kingpin... you think he learned how to rock it up on his own? Nah he had the Nicaraguan plug... and they were using the money made off him to fund a rebellion against their communist government... the CIA knew all of this and were cool with it cuz it killed 2 birds wit one stone: the black population and 'commies'...

Oh, it's also ironic that the guy who 1st broke the story that connected the CIA to the Crack epidemic got blackballed from the press industry... a few years later, right when he hit obscurity, was found dead in his home.. an apparent suicide...

Yes, it is sad...and it's not a coincidence, I know this. At the same time, those people that DIED, were willing to do so while delivering a message. They got their death threats, but they believed so strongly in what they were doing, that it didn't stop them from chasing the goal.

Stand up, hit the schools, speak to the younger cats, uplift the communities by showing them a better way. Start a MOVEMENT that will get talk shows booking you...news agencies wanting to talk to you...organize rallies, protests, etc. It's hard work, and it's not going to be done by one person...but if you rally the troops, words and messages spread like wildfire.
I've spent a lot more than ONE DAY in the hood, and I've found cats in the hood that agree with me. Granted, they aren't youngsters, but they agree.
Take a look at every person that grew up in a poverty stricken area, that made something of themselves...and tell me people can't rise out of it if they want to. That's ignorant, and that kind of mentality gets people NOWHERE!

Explain that to the people of color constantly denied loans to start up those business ideas that they might want to put in action. Explain to 4.0 students at inner city schools like Richmond High who when applying to major Univ. get shot down because their 4.0 counts as a 3.5 because of a lack of AP classes while student in Piedmont have weighted 4.0 that end up as 4.5 gpa's because of the classes offered at their school. I'm not saying that your point isn't on point, but I'm saying that some of the shit is set up and for some reason people of color are not recieving equal educational opps. But this sort of shit isn't new in this country or the world for that matter. Education at Ivy Leauge's are more than just degrees-- it is the chance to network with the ones who make the money not ern pay checks.
