Ask for an extension...plead not guilty....then show up.

I've had the officer not show up 5 out of 6 times. The one time it was me who didn't show up.

I have another one in a month. Female officer. She wont show up, but I have documentation even if she does. It's just for tints...

Yea just think it will be a really fun time for your fam or friends to identify your dismembered body laying in pieces all over the freeway.
That should still be any adult's choice to make, just like the helmets on bicycles law. If you're over 18 it's your choice. The seatbelt law should be the same. I wear my seatbelt regardless, and even if I didn't want to, my fuckin car alerts me whenever it feels pressure on the seat and there's no seatbelt fastened, which is annoying as FUCK. But I don't think any grown ass person should be forced to protect themselves if they don't want to. Let them get ejected and killed. That's their choice, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, if you've received a speeding ticket, you should consider fighting it instead of simply prepaying and skipping the court date. A speeding ticket may fine you $50 (or over $300 in some areas), but the cost to you expands greatly if your car insurance rates jump.
i wish i fought my 2 tickets or got 1 deferred...

my insurance premium went up 65% for two tickets.

so i pay my 100% normal, plus an added 65% for my tickets.

$4,000 every year. Full coverage tho, and my car is a 2009....and it's fast.

I got 1 ticket dismissed, got a deferral on the second and while on deferral I got 2 more I'm fighting right now lol.

The last 3 were all at 3 different speed traps listed here: Where are the speed traps in Seattle?
