from personal experience i can say that stereotypes held by both blacks and mexicans towards each other in southern california fuel
some of the conflicts going on... L.A. and Dago is a whole different story though... I guess Dago is too small (in comparison to L.A.) to have half of any of that race shit that goes on in L.A. happen... school riots yeah, but not all out mexican vs black or vice versa shootings... if anything its most likely a personal dispute... a lot of people know each other, or went to school with each other... now as far as L.A., blacks killling mexicans and vice versa has been sporadically goin on since the early 90's... nothin new... the only reason it's being blown up in the news is because of sensationalist news channels and a couple of high profile shootem ups (black girl in Harbor Gateway is an example)

this actually caused that specific hispanic set (204th st) to be placed on the list of L.A.'s most dangerous gangs... keep in mind nobody ever gave a fuck about that particular set until that incident, even though it's like one of the smallest gangs in L.A. county...
