i personally dont call it Falling off since it was not at a high enuff place for that. I think what is going on now is Artists finally realizing that they need to change the way they do things and are approaching projects differently and taking longer to release something. There was a period of time when good music was coming out the Area but then it turned into rushed and saturated to the point where the music was hurting. I think once 40 and Quinn dropped their projects (both are D.O.P.E!) artists opened up there eyes and ears and realized they need to step it up...

I just went on your myspace dude.... Your circle might be putting some of that gas in your tank. Your not garbage so don't think Im trying to say that but your not the best thing going neither. You sound just like every other cat thats coming out. Is that a problem? According to you yes it is a problem because you said these same people need to be fans and stop rapping. Im sure your not going to and I wish you the best cause we all are trying to reach for the same dream. On side note the music industry doesn't care if you suck or not. They want to know 2 things can you sale and can you make hit songs. That vice president at in a minute records don't care what hood, what gang you from,or about your struggle. He want's money and artist need to sale records to bring in money.
T.I,Lil'wayne,Ludacris,Young jezzy,Plies,Fab(New York),etc. All these cats fall in one bracket. They all can sale 500,000 records. It may take longer for some but they get it done. They make hit records do we like most of these songs probably not. But America does and America is not on siccness.net

your entitled to your oppinion. , me soundin like everyone else who's comin out i completely dont agree wit though. and i gas my own tank. i feel my shit is dope. and that seems to be the feedback i get damn near %100 of the time. im sure i come across aroguant on the net. but hey its text. im not finna sit here and name drop. on who ive gotten feedback from. and your rite ,, rite now im the THE best thing going.. but i bust my ass. one one day will be dope enuff to be remember forthe music i made, the people i helped and my character. and we werre talkin about bay music. not every other mojar artist u just named. and every one of those artist u named are dope as fuk. and i compare my self to major artist to beter my quality of music. and strive for greatness. anyway .,., too much typing is involved

if your an artist wheres ur music for me to check out wen i get time

I dont agree with this at all. Sure, SOME of those artists were good and a couple were GREAT...but there are PLENTY that are still here from the "golden era" of Bay Rap.

cause the mothafuckers that had skills is gone we left with this watered down rap scene , everyones a rapper now an is the hot shit .90 % of the game is garbage fans need to go back to bein fans an let the rappers rap !
And who is to say none of them would have watered down there music too? Pac, Seagram, Cee, and Coug all died before or around the turn of the century when the music was already in a terrible state. Mac Dre was beginning to slow down when he got killed. Freako and Double D...never was a fan so i wont speak on them.

You have to be comparative to the times and the artist.

Wow this thread is news to me. San Quinn, Quinn and Keak, and The Jacka's new street album were pretty dope to me. Gay Z sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He needs to get some cream for those dark circles under his eyes, his eyes looks like he's a ethernopian. Yung Jizzy is not worth listening to, and T.I. is a punk that beat purchasing automatic assault riffles from a federal officer(seems to me that he must have told on someone, because he couldn't have paid it off, not enough money could have got him out of that). Stop listening to the radio.

There are dope artists out here and dope projects getting put out,but you need to stop holding on to how dope these old cats used to be,people fall off it happens get over it.
The newer cats got the ball in they court and we as fans need to get behind them and support good music,so instead of buying 3 copies of 40's lackluster sequel to "My Ghetto Report Card" go buy a couple mixtapes from these artists that got next because right now rappers like mess, quinn and 40 sound like they're just phoning it in,but these new cats like Young Gully,Chris the IV,the livewire camp and Dubb 20 are hungry and talented and they're putting out way better material than most these "big in the 90's" bay rappers.

1 thing no one ever really mentions is that the Bay artists from the 90s are a tough act to follow. there was so much talent in that generation of bay artists it's like we were spoiled as listeners.

well that was an ignorant response, you obviously don't fuck with mixtapes if you think they're all stolen beats, but I'll keep my rebuttal short and to the point

The Animal Planet Mixtape - The Jacka & Husalah
^^better than most studio albums by anyone

i seriously dont see how Young Jeezy is dope to people.. even some of the Bay's not so great rappers top him....
lol for real. Lil Waynes flows is trash, TI doesnt rap he talks. Its funny to me that folks have the nerve to call bay rappers garbage yet like trash like Kanye also.

^^wouldn't that be an executive producer, like Nick Peace when he E.P. for The Jacka & Lee Majors - The Gobots?
and about my earlier point I know it was a mixtape, but it had a lot of original production on it,and that's what i wanted to get across to chill, not ALL mixtapes recycle beats.Look at DJ Fresh,on his projects he and cats under his umbrella do they're own beats(good ones imo) I know cats like him are few and far between but we shouldn't write them off just because they're "only" on mixtapes.

A producer basically forms the song threw the artist idea and his, puts both ideas it together and makes it happen, some times even coach's the artist as the song is being created/recorded to make the full picture be clear....

some times producers dont even "make beats". they just make sure every thing comes out the way its suppose to from the Idea, Sound, mixing, to finnish product/song.
word,,,right on
