I really don't get why people say there's no rivalry. Yes, there is a fucking rivalry. I hear it everyday at work, out on the streets, etc. We may not be divisional rivals, conference rivals or whatever, but there it without a doubt a local bay area rivalry between the fans. Whether you're personally invested in it is up to you, but step outside and it's obvious there's a rivalry between the 2 teams.
Niner fans think the Raiders are their rivals because their division is so fucking terrible they don't have any real rivalries.
Raider fans are too concerned with the Broncos, Chargers, and Chiefs to care about the Niners.
And on the Siccness everyone hates everyone else. Although some of you Niner fans care more about the Raiders losing than the Niners winning.

Why is everone blaming niners fan tho? It goes both ways.like it or not Niners and Raiders are rivals. Its a bay area rival. Has nothing to do with the NFL but fans on both sides know this. Fans on both side talk the same amount of shit. Prolly except right now cuz Niners still in it and raiders ain't.
ok wait, so there's actually people saying this isn't a rivalry? i sit here and read countless threads about the niners and raiders. most of them turn into shit talking battles between fans of both teams. it could be during the season or in the off season, you're gonna get some of those threads on this board. This is absolutely a rivalry, it's the battle of the bay.....lol, the only reason it ISN'T a rivalry to some raider fans is because their team is at home watching the niners play for a chance to go to the show. If the shoe was on the other foot, best believe this forum would be flooded with raider threads and black hole references.
Because when I chill with friends who are Raider fans, we talk about how much better we are than Denver, KC, or San Diego.

EDIT: I was around in 2002 when Oakland was in the Super Bowl. There weren't any Niner bashing threads going on, we were concerned with Tampa Bay. There were tons of Raider bashing threads after the game, though.

Lmao at all these Raider fans trying to act like we're on their dicks. We might talk shit because there's a rivalry, but of all teams why would we be on your nuts? Our franchise is better, our legacy is better, we had a dynasty, won 5 superbowls and were in the NFC championship game. Our team is back and built for the future while yours ain't doing shit for a 10th year on a row. Please. My boss is a Raider fan and she won't shut the fuck up about how she wishes the Niners lose this weekend.
I could see her point, since I'm tired of the arrogance. Instead I choose to be a fan of football, I won't unnecessarily hate a team unless its the Chiefs, Broncos, Chargers or the bitch ass Gaytriots.
