yeah that new gi bill u talkin bout that pays bah i dont think it goes to effect until jan of 09...idk thats what ive been hearing from all my boys i could be wrong...but damn i would choose runnin around a track than runnin fuckin desert hills in the morning almost everyday..lol and i heard yall run your pft or i think u guys call it "prt" on a treadmill?
WHAT U KNOW BOUT THAT BHR MAYNE? I WAS ON THAT BITCH FROM 2000 2 2004 WHEN IT WAS REAL CUTTHOATISH. REAL NIGGAS AND FINE ASS BITCHES. THAT'S WHERE I MET SUPA SAV'D OUTT. TOOK HIM UNDER MA WING, LACED HIS FLIGHT DECK BOOTS AND DID IT REAL BIG. RUNNIN TRAINS AND DOIN BIG THANGS! NOW THAT SHIP IS FILLED WIT NIGGAS TO SLAP AROUND. I WAS IN FOR 8 YRS AND NOW IM A GOVERNMENT CONTRACTOR FOR L-3 COMMUNICATIONS AEROSPACE VERTEX PAINTIN NAVY AND MARINE AIRCRAFT.
with a certain amt of respect for people who serve this country in a way or another my hat is off to you as my dad was a veitnam vet (another stupid ass war)..but what keeps me out of the military is every single person ive known has come out of the military like something really traumatic happened to them and theyre supressing it, i don't know what that thing is and if its even something im just imagining, but theres something in most of your eyes after you come back that just says youve been dehumanized and depersonalized in some sort of way.
i remember i knew this nigga james..he got back from the war and dude would drink and smoke himself into the worst positions ive ever seen a man subject himself to in less than ten minutes, like smoke a whole 8th to himself while we just look at him and then drink half a bottle of liquor then get in his corvette and just press down on the fucking gas and all you hear is mind bending drunk ass tire screeches...but as one point i just wanted to sit him aside and ask if there was something he felt he needed to vent about.
i dont even know if this nigga was inside his own body.
he did have a hilarious ass crack on me once tho i was dissing him and he was like 'WIT YO PETEY PABLO DRESS SHIRT' and i just started crying in laughter

This boat is fucked man, we just went through INSURV and arent leaving for deployment until Jun 09 or so. The new XO is fucking crazy and hes about to be the CO. I only got 25 months left in the Navy. im pretty happy about that.
On another note, ill let yall know what the Navy has done for me.
I wasnt doing shit with my life but drugs and shitty jobs, i had to get the fuck out of Yuba City so i joined up, scored a 70 on my ASVAB and came in under the AECF program (Advanced Electronics Computer Field). Just a fancy name for working on old ass electronics. I came in as an E-1 and left boot camp an E-2. I got automatically promoted to E-4 (usually you take a test) and then a year later i put on E-5. The military has really changed me as a person in a good way, i have learned how to act at a job really. I learned how to present myself and ive learned leadership skills. Once i get out i am going to take my electronics skills and try to get a job at some company doing maintenance or something similar. Then i am going to use this new GI Bill, which is much better than the old one, and get a degree in electronics and try to a career type job. I think its a great stepping stone to a better life, some people even end up enjoying it and make a career out of it.

You also get paid when you are stationed on a boat, depending on how long you are on board. If you worked on the flight deck like Sav did you get money for that as well. When your deployed you get hazard pay and everything is Tax free. If you have a family they are covered as well with the benefits.
Either way, im getting the fuck out, i signed for 6 and im ready to be done with it. Its a good plan if you got nothing else going for you.

boot camps a joke. mine was only 8 weeks and all we did was PT, fold clothes and iron uniforms. There were some classes we had to take and shit. a few tests and a lot of inspections but overall easy as fuck.
one shitty thing about the Navy is duty, on my ship, every 8 days i got to stay on board and i have to stand a 4 hour watch. im on duty today which is why im posting long ass posts. bored as fuck. tonight i got the midnight to 4am watch where i walk around on the flight deck with a 9mm and an M16. fucking lame.
i cant believe that 3 of us on this site were on the same rust bucket boat.
