Want to know the details as in registration and what not. My budget is $300, good enough for a 22 but I'm highly interested in the desert eagle.Hey musty, I remember you posted a pic of your heat, is that shit hot? And what kinda piece is it? A glock I presume. It looks fuckin sick. I may end up with the 22 or a revolver. I hope that nutt str8sickloco checks out this thread and gives me his 2 pennies.

first off, you dont want a desert eagle...i have a feelin you just think it looks/sounds cool...like glocks and rappers in the 90's
plus, you wont find one for $300 that, there gonna run you at least 900 for a good one....
Straps aint something you buy online...you need to be able to feel the weight and how it feels in you hand man...its not something you choose by looks, which it seems your doin mayno...

Honestly visit a few gun stores..check out Jackson arms in SSF, then you can test out any strap you might want to purchase (caliber, not make/model)
Caliber is important man....and a .22 aint exactly the best choice just cause its in ya budget....start with at least a .38 or 9...people have been known to survive 7-10 shots from a .22 and still kill the shooter....lol, althougn the slugs are small..the can rocochet in your body and do all kind of damage...they just dont have stopping power.
the .45 was created back during ww1 because the nazi were off that crank hitler was feedin em.....38's and 9's just wouldnt stop em....the 45 showed significant different in stopping power....a well aimed .45 show can spin a man around or stop him dead in his tracks...but it come with a heavy recoil (kick) and can be harder to aim accurately if not trained right...
a 9mm is a good start...easy to learn..average recoil...plenty to choose from....

you need to do some research, just dont just hop online and buy a cheap gun man....shit you can get those Hi-Point firearms for dirt cheap...but wit strap you get what you pay for...i would spend at least 300-500..closer to 500 for something nice....and always buy brand new man...theres nothing like the smell of a barrell of a gun never been fired...

look around....you want something thats not too heavy (all steel frame equals a ton of a gun)....and not too light (the reason i dont like glocks)
i have a Taurus PT-145, a Makarov, a RAP 401 (south african 9mm) and a few others....

Have you ever felt a fully loaded Desert eagle....?...your talkin about a 20 lb piece of hardware easy, and the .50 cal cost about $3-5 a shot...lol, not to mention the fact there illegal in CA....there really not practical dogg...unless your tryin to kill deer from 2,000 yards or some shit...lol

although the pics your posted are for the full converision kit....which is a nice but pricey package deal man..you get 3 calibers in 1 gun, the barrel is switchable from .357 to .44. to .50 magnum.....and if you aint never shot a gun before and you shot a .50 eagle...man you better be ready for one HELLUVA KICK..

Try a Taurus (the millenium editions are nice)
http://www.taurususa.com/main/index.cfm

im not a fan of glocks.....but many people are as they are easy to learn and highly accurate and are indestructable damn near..theyve been tested to death (frozen, ran over, dropped, left in mud, underwater etc) and shot fine each time
theres a lotta accessories too, but careful...glock have no safety, theres the glocklock but it takes a key instead of a thumbswitch
http://www.glock.com/

If you wanna get something real nice and reliable (albeit pricey) get yourself an HK (Heckler and Koch)
the USP series is legendary and the Mark 23 was/is used by Navy Seals
http://www.hecklerkoch-usa.com/index.jsp?loc=100&REFID=A0000&SITEID=A

the makarov i have i dont recommend, it was my first gun and i only bought it for the silencer that came with it...its nice (picture tha same one James Bond had) but it feels a little girly to me....

MUGG....do me a favor and ask yourself ...
"do I really need a gun"
" can i handle the power/responsibility of owning a firearm(s)"
"why do i need a gun"

its a lotta power in owning a firearms and some poeple cant take it...they get "trigger happy" or feel ike a bigger man owning it.....you seem like a straight cat, but think before you buy man...really.

and never..under any circumstances......ever.....

1. Carry a handgun your not prepared to use

2. "Flash" a strap....dont pull it if your not really gonna use it, if you show it then blow it...never threaten with a gun...worst mistake you'll ever make

3. Carry a gun for no reason....idle guns are the devils breeding grounds

4. Solve a fistfight with a pistol.....thats for suckas.

all im sayin is think before you buy.....im out in frisco, if you want some help dogg come holla at me, its nothin..i'll take you to the range and help you pick one out

Your also gonna need to complete a BFSC test to get your card....(basic Firearms Safety Course) cout about $20-30 and its a basic test, they give you a book to study for a week, go back take the test...done
and of course....no felonies, restraining orders, history of mental illness...etc...and your good to go...

im here if you got questions...get advice before ya buy

DEEAYUM thanks for all the info much appreciated. LOL, I wasn't gonna cop a desert eagle and yes I was interested in it for looks and it was my favorite gun I seen in the movies. I know it cost $900 and up, the pics I got were from an online gun place and the price ranged from $800-$1900. Thanks for all your advice man I really appreciate it, you've changed my mind about getting a 22. Why I wanted a 22 was cuz the only guns I've held were 22's they hella small but I felt comfortable with them. My sister has a 22 and the bullets are HELLA small lol. One time when I was just a young buck, I was at my mom's friends while they was gambling there I got bored and saw a gun on the tv. Everyone was payin attention to the card game and I picked it up, I thought it was toy and it was bit heavy. I picked it up pointed it at the one of the card players and was just about to pull the trigger when an elder caught me and yelled to stop and put it down. I was like oh shit! this is a real gun! The clip was out but there was one in the chamber... I'll go with the 9 and no glocks because I didn't know they didn't have a safety. I was lookin at a taurus revolver on the online site (gunbroker.com) and they look sick as fuck. Why I want a gun is all for protection. I get road raged quite easily so I was thought if I had a gun I would of busted, because of that I know I WILL NEVER carry gun outside the home because you'll never know what'll happen in a situation in the heat of the moment. Also, when I was a kid, my whole fam was at the house and this drunk white dude broke a door in our basement and tried breaking into our home. It was a shaking moment in my life which I never really recovered from. He was about to break in another locked door when my pops called the police and they got his ass. I was just kid my pops told me and my younger sister to hide in the closet and I handed my pops a golf club and sittin in the closet I was hella scared. I think I was like 10 or 11 maybe younger.I always thought to myself WHAT IF he had broken thru the other door? My pops is like 5'5" and 130 and my older brother was like 16 at the time. Dude I saw looking out the window ramming our door appeared to be a huge dude. Never knew or found out why he was breaking into our home. Also I don't like livin' alone which I'll be in Sac w/my lady when I move to continue my education there. I've already made my mind up, I always wanted a gun, when I do purchase it, it will not be loaded and of course on safety at the house. But I'll have a clip ready and I don't intend on ever looking at it or holding around the apt. or anything of that nature. Just for protection. I checked online and the only gun store near Rosa is Petaluma. I'm a have to go check it out but I'll prolly cop a piece when I move to sac. Do all houses/apts allow the renters to have guns in the home? Also I do appreciate your offer on helping me out, I may take you up on that, we'll see when the time comes, peace.

pretty much unless theres special circumstances..its your home, own whatever you like...college dorms and shit is different...but not your place.,,and who says they have to know right...

i can see never wanting to be in that position again that you were as a kid, and fuck a golf club for protection, i'll take a 9 millimeter over a 9 iron anyday....lol

shit santa rosa is a good place to go shooting....i knew a dude out there that said there are some nice outdoor spots to practice....he wold fill up milk jugs with red paint and take em out from 1,000 yards sniper style....or pin up a $5 bill and whoever hits lincoln in the head first wins....

for home protection..ever think about a shotgun..?...with the right ammo you will never fear anyone entering you house..invited or not...i sleep with my shotty next to the mattress in a special quick draw case...talk about restful sleep...even if the get past the front door, they aint gonna make it back out...

Because a shotgun shell is really just a shaped charge behind a payload, shotgun shells can be filled with a wide variety of loads, many of which are legal.

Avenger: Hollow steel balls with a low gunpowder load. Short range and low recoil, with low penetration.
Could be useful in a situation requiring low penetration, such as home defense. Semi-nonlethal.

Bird Bombs: An explosive payload, which (in theory) detonates on impact. Roughly equivalent to an m80 firecracker.

Bolo: Two heavy slugs connected by piano wire. Was once known as the garrote slug. While impossible to aim, the wire becomes a very hazardous blade at muzzle velocity.

Bouncer: Two zytel (nylon) balls. High muzzle velocity, very low penetration. Semi-nonlethal, like rubber bullets.

Chain reaction: A 6-inch length of chain. Impacts in a rather random pattern.

Comet: A regular shotgun slug with a red tracer.

Detonator: Essentially, a hollow lead slug with an explosive tip. It's made with for the purpose of filling with your own explosive or other payload, which then detonates on impact.

Door buster: Tiny lead pellets, approaching lead dust. Impacts with full force, but over a larger area, with very little penetration.

Dragon's Breath: Yes, these really do exist, and yes, you can order them for $16.98 each. White phosphorous that ignites upon being shot. Creates a 100-yard flamethrower that burns for about three seconds. Contrary to popular belief, this does not damage a smooth-bore shotgun.

Fire siren: A small weighted whistle. Incredibly loud at muzzle velocity. Wear ear protection.

Flash bomb: Like the bird bomb, above, but using a flash-powder incendiary instead of an explosive one.

Flechette: A whole bunch of needles. High penetration.

Hammer: A bean-bag round; a nylon bag filled with tiny shot. High impact, but theoretically nonlethal.

Mini Missile: A solid lead slug with a steel core. The lead slug peels away on impact, driving the core through hard targets (like armor.)

Napalm: Like the Bird Bomb, above, but filled with white phosphorous, which burns very hot upon impact.

Pit Bull: Six big lead pelletes, and one big slug. Not that exotic, really.

Shredder: A lot of sharp tacks. Short range, but high trauma to flesh.

Smoke bomb: Essentially, the Dragon's Breath Round, only using a smoke powder instead.

Stinger: 16 zytel (nylon) balls. Essentially, the rubber bullet for shotguns. Semi-nonlethal.

Super flare: A shotgun-launched flare.

just a few of my favorites....

You know what, now that you mentioned it, at one time I was contemplating on the 22 or shotgun. How much do shotty's go for by the way? I remember a cheap one go for bout $300-$400 I can extend my budget a few mo' hunnet dollaz for a shotty. You got yourself a shotty? and um, do they have safety's? because that shit'll take awhile to load and doesn't have a clip so you have to have that shit loaded and ret ta go. I don't want a loaded gun in the house, but who knows by the time I'll have the piece I'll prolly have the shit loaded lol. You'll never know when you'll need it when all of a sudden you get an unexpected knock on the door when darkness falls... I don't think I need practice, shit just point aim and shoot right? Can't be that hard to fire a gun maybe it is tho but I'm sure I can handle it.

you DO want a loaded gun in the house....just keep it locked away dogg....aint nothin worse then tryin to calm down ya family, take control of the situation AND have to load a gun....no no
theres cases for storage (neccessry for car carrying) and triggerlocks you can buy for safety
YOU NEVER WANT TO TRY AND LOAD A GUN IN A INTENSE SITUATION..KEEP IT LOADED AND IF ANYTHING...JUST DONT HAVE IT COCKED (ONE IN THE CHAMBER)

a good shotty yeah would come to about 300-400...you can find em for as low as the mid 2's for a good pump action

stay away from them 22's...if dudes on pcp you'll just make him laugh as he takes the gun away and beatS you with it, if you do go 22..get some hollow points and an extra clip.....

better to be caught with than without...withhout a doubt
