I book shows and Berner is one of the few artists in the Bay that demands over a $1000 a show + flights and hotels . People in other states love him he's super big in Kansas City and Portland . He is cool as fuck to when you meet him and he cares about his product. He understands the music biz to people in the game respect his hustle as well . He probably did spend a lot of money to get his career moving well now it's paying off now because he's getting paid. Also those collabo albums he did moved units so a return on his investment and building his name means good business.

Im not I agree - Im a fan , but dam let this shit be . Like him or not he's doing good . I bet most thought he would fail (miserably) but he has not . I like his older stuff but always check up on his raps and some are good some are really good but none of its horrible ....

And for the record he's not black breh - but I agree he's doing better than most ...

He did not buy himself in the rap game cuz if those projects were not good they wouldn't have sold. He invested into himself the same way as if he paid a radio promoter or to get on a promo tour. It's just good business with good product. All of you artist out there need to take notes. U don't have to do it the same way but you can learn a lot from Berner.

Who said rap game? I said spotlight, and I think it's pretty fair to say he wouldn't have gotten anywhere near as much exposure if he hadn't made the albums with the people he did. Also, big names sell, period. I'm not saying those albums weren't good, but last time I was in rasputins, Messy Marv's freestyle CD Nemo was selling pretty well, and that is one garbage mixtape, imo.

Funny to me to read this post. It was only 4 years ago when people were on here saying a lot of negative things when he released his group album with The Jacka. I would say Berner must be doing a few things right to sit here now and see that he still is a topic of conversation. Good or Bad, whatever a hater or fan would say, he is doing well putting out quality albums with good music and promotion.

Maybe I will search this post in another 4 years, who know what else will happen. Sky is the limit.
