I think honestly a lot of people on the board are mad at Berner's success. Nobody talks about the wack ass rappers that don't sell. He becomes a target cuz he's successful. Music is all about progression and Berner is progressing at a great rate. He sells units and does shows all throughout the country and is a great representative of the bay. I can understand why some people don't like his music but it's not for you and there's nothing wrong with not liking it but he does not suck. And to quote Berner "I can care less if he's dope or not / I hear him talkin that shit but he ain't sold a rock". That's why I fuck with Berner cuz he talks my language.

Berner works his ass off and is living his dream. since when is it not a good thing to get big names on ya shit? Jay-z does it, 40 does it, Gucci does it, Biggie did it, every rapper in the game does it. Berner got some dope features but he does great on songs by himself, his new video HARD HEADED is fuckin tight and hes on the track solo... i respect the hell out of him for goin so hard. he's outselling hella rappers in the bay, and my homies in KC love him too. a lot of cats could learn a lot from berner. I dont know one rapper who dont like berner... love him or hate him, get used to him cause hes just gettin started... The White Album coming soon...

ill be honest..i got homies that slap berner like...in the turf while smoking and selling dope....that have no idea that berner quite possibly was the only nigga on the internet (internet? in LIFE) to have his verses completely removed from a duo album (yall niggas actually photoshopped jacka twice on both sides of the cover and then took out every fucking verse he had on the song to where it was a new jacka album. that might be the most foul shit ever.) i told them this and they was like "berner tight tho"

so.....

maybe siccness played him bad..

personally, how i ended up gaining some respect for him after all that was i read a interview from him and equipto in murder dog...and i felt like he was really ambitious and had goals, and shit that he wanted to do..another thing working with medical shops and filming a dvd about the whole medicinal marijuana issue...that was a smart move because decades from now thats going to be a historic moment in americans lives for our generation...to make it short he seems like he has a cool head on his shoulders and after i got over yall doin all that shit, i started kinda peepin his bars and i think hes been showing alot more promise...and knowing rap is a black dominated culture i liek to see other races become successful at it because im not a hater..so to me it feels good to know i see people down here slapping berner and this was a dude who was getting hated the fuck on majorly on here.. of course the internet dosent dictate the streets but apparently hes getting out there.. now niggas talkin' bout the cherry pie he was on that from the jump tho...sho shout out to berner for doing his thing and working with photodocs was a smart move

ive never heard his albums? i heard the one with mess which was cool for a cut and paste job (from what i understand they didnt meet and emailed verses and shit)... but the songs ive heard, have been getting better than what i heard previous...and i think thats a success...alot of people are struggling to get on...so you gotta respect that

I respect his hustle and his business skills, but I just don't like him as a rapper. His flow and lyrics are mediocre at best. I really don't know why so many people on the sicc like him.

I would like to see him manage good rappers and oversee projects though.

I think the main issue that started the "hate" was, that he kind of started messing with the big dogs, rapwise, when he himself was still a pup, rapwise. First time we heard of him, was that album & mixtape with Equipto, who is one of the better hip hop artists in the bay area. Then right to an album with The Jacka, who is one of the best gangsta rappers in the bay, or anywhere else really. Also with one of the biggest followings. So it was a lot of pressure, and you don't even have to rap that bad to look weak by comparison to a good rapper, he just wasn't up to par at the time really. He stepped his rap game up tho, I just think people would have felt differently if he didn't basically buy his way into the spotlight. I mean, he made it work, I just think people would have reacted to him differently if he would have done some solo work prior to jumping on CD's with the big names.

He did not buy himself in the rap game cuz if those projects were not good they wouldn't have sold. He invested into himself the same way as if he paid a radio promoter or to get on a promo tour. It's just good business with good product. All of you artist out there need to take notes. U don't have to do it the same way but you can learn a lot from Berner.

first off... thank u THIZZ...the white album will be my second solo album... it has so much more subject matter and feeling to it, yes i am still improving as a rapper, but my bizz is always on point... i work with the best and have a great following and i make OUR area look GOOD!!!!! i just left the club in atlanta.. me and willie hen bumped into each other, he told me why he RESPECTS me.. he said state to state not only are the people but alot of MAJOR artist mention my name when they talk bay area rap! THATS HUGE TO ME.. i think my network is so much bigger than alot of u no, im really out here, state to state keeping OUR area popin!!! AS FAR AS THAT DOPE BOY SHIT AND SUBJECT MATTER... well if u aint with the shit than u really cant relate, what ive done or dont do is no ones bizz at all. so if some supper lyrical hip hop cat cant feel my shit, the cats in the hood in atlanta , h town, denver, ohio, kc,all the way out in alaska etc... plus all my big money getters all around the world can. ... its what ive been arount my whole life!i put it all behind me and it paid off, THE WHITE ALBUM is sounding great and will show u guys what im capable of... thanks for all the support and feedback.....
